This one really frightens the hell out of me.  The statue not so much, but the people so close to the TREES!

Since you're not allowed to walk on the grass at A&M, where else are these people going to walk except RIGHT INTO THE TREES THEMSELVES???  :runaway:

LOL how are those idiots going to get to the stadium?  Where are they going to park?  They will never make it in to the game with the lack of parking spaces within 10 feet of the stadium and with a complete failure to provide for foot traffic routes unimpeded by plants.

At this point all we can hope for is that a Captain Crap Aggie exists.  And that he visits TexAgs to intermitently provide explanations to those poor idiots about a range of things they know nothing about, like the dangers of trees around college football stadiums.

:surprised:

Holy crap, A&M.  New Kyle Field.

Trees will be an absolute nightmare on game day, though.

A true nightmare on elm street, amirite?

Or are those maples? Either way, nightmarish.

The fans are so impeded by the trees in this picture that none of them are moving, they are just stuck in place.   No thanks.

what's weird is that there also don't seem to be a lot of business men with suits and briefcases in these a&m pictures like there were in the kansas state university ones.

look at how many of them are touching each other.  The trees I mean.  Not the people they copy/pasted all over the place.

something else of note:  they have a large cascading fountain surrounding a female Bear Bryant statue that they filled with dirt and grass instead of water.

It's about time they did something to address this, but I heard that each tree is a memorial to the millions upon millions of almost-babies carelessly discarded into jars.  Better late than never.

The logs at the bonfire actually did technically impede some pedestrian traffic. :frown:

Guys, I don't know jack about commercial construction but it seems like if they can blow up the Dev and build this monstrosity in 5 mos, they can probably finish the glass and carpet in the next 4.

:twocents:

Your larger point stands but construction started last June, not in December

Why does Kyle Field need to be renovated?
Because Texas A&M deserves the finest collegiate facilities and the goal is to build the greatest venue in the history of college football. Millions of people see Texas A&M University through football Saturdays in the fall and this facility will make a statement that the Aggies do not settle, we commit to excellence in everything we do. A redeveloped Kyle Field will amplify and honor our past and our traditions while expanding the intimidation factor.

Holy crap if that isn't cult aggie in one short paragraph I don't what is.

Ever since they left the Big 12, I haven't been able to stand them. Their arrogance is annoying.
