It looks like turf is rolled up in the east side parking lot right now. Is that the old stuff?

Apparently when the turf was replaced before 2011 season, surfaces were researched for several factors including longevity, player safety, etc., and a recommendation was made to Snyder and he rejected a more durable, safer surface in favor of whatever was in vogue among the big-time programs at the time. Hopefully this edition will be less checker-boardy and sketti-brain/weird knee inducing.

Thing is, the old Turf was not used by many college football teams.  AstroTurf doesn’t even make that specific surface anymore.  There’s surfaces in that product line, but not that specific product.

You act like NBAF is a KS product. The NY facility does not GAF about us until we open. We won’t be fully operational until 2023. I drive by it everyday, so I know.

Grow the grass tall AF against all these spread offenses, and we continue the QB battering ram O. Collin would've had softer grass to land on, Jake's fainting goat act would've been like falling on a pillowy soft ground. ETC.

You can't see a receiver downfield if the grass is 6+ feet. No air-raid offense will ever want to step in to Manhattan, KS

If the new turf looks worse than the old turf, and there’s a very real possibility that it will, is it possible to play sans turf for the season just using dirt?  honestly think it might be worth it to teach turf god snyder a lesson

All I know is, if we can't make turf look good on TV, there's no rough ridin' way in hell we could pull off making grass look good on TV. Grass is WAY harder to make look good on TV than turf. We'd be better off just using the dirt. Because at least it would look like dirt on TV. If we tried to pull off grass, it would look on TV like we just had a big field of dog crap. And might smell like it, too.
