Seems like I read a while back where people have seen the latest renderings (maybe not?), if so, when are they going to leak out. Seems like they would have by now.

I get excited when i see this thread come back.  Then I don't see pictures or dax telling us great news and i'm all  :dubious:

I know.  This and the court design threads are my favorite.  I love facilities improvement anticipation.  Until it's crushed like the E.Z.o.D.

Would take.  I think.  I think it looks pretty great, if top-heavy on our tiny guy of a stadium.  Also, that enclosed part in the middle of the press box (as viewed from inside the stadium) that is bright purple is weird and I would rather just have it be a straight across tiny upper deck like there is on the middle of the other side.  That being said, looks pretty sweet.

But who are we kidding, it's probably not gonna turn out like that.
The purple part represents the old press box.

FWIW, like I've been saying all along, this looks very similar to the Maryland job before and after done by Heery.

EDIT:  Looks like banddude took down the pictures.

No, those are the prelims supposedly. That is likely not exactly what it will be as a new firm is doing it. Those were supposed to have been done by populous.

Your whining about the turf is pretty major over a very minor deal. Spilled milk really.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

As some one whose has seen the new field in person, I can say it's noticeable, but I don't think it's really that bad.

Pretty much anyone who is as fashionable with formal wear as sd is gonna notice the mismatch.

You can clearly see it, but you'd literally have to be staring at it all the time for it to really bother you.

I don't think anyone was that worried about the extent of the mismatch or how noticeable it would be without staring at it, but rather how they had to go out of their way to mismatch it.

They're building a $17.5 million dollar Basketball Practice Facility, they want to build a $60-$75 million dollar pressbox, I can handle a little KstateO in the EZOD.

Only an architect would know this.   :surprised:

As a guy who is finishing his basement with half DIY/half subcontractor work, I'll say that when you look at it from the grand scheme of things, I love having a brand new family room to put a big screen TV in, and I'll overlook the fact that one of the walls that I built is a couple of degrees off straight.

Kind of like how the EZoD is a different shade of green.  You have to stare at them both for a while to really see it, but unless you're OCD about it, you don't really care all that much.  You're just glad that your room/stadium is going to not look so crappy anymore.

look, i'm just as happy as the next guy that initial reports are that it doesn't look as absolutely ridiculous as earlier online pictures made it out to be. that out of the way, i'm not sure that i'd compare my diy basement remodeling job to something that fifty thousand people are going to be looking at multiple times a year for the next ten years. i mean, i just wouldn't. also, if you are bringing a half million people into your basement on a yearly basis and some of those will be deciding whether or not they want to commit to you and do business with you, then i would recommend completely obliterating whatever crappy job you did and having a professional redo it. asap. just my opinion.
