Teens these days deserve to be slapped around by teachers. It's really become a "Im going to provoke you until you lose your crap" era with cameras sprinkled on top.

Teachers are fighting a losing battle.

Meh, it's been that way for a long time if not always. Teenagers are shitheads. I was in the guy's class 13 years ago or so and it was exactly the same as it was in this video. The only thing that has changed are cell phones. It's a crappy situation (situ-injun?) all around. The kids are assholes, yeah, but as a teacher you just cannot do that, especially now when cameras are everywhere. Sounds like everyone involved needs to get sent to ISS, amirite?

Whatever. The teacher is employed by the state, is supposed to keep order in the classroom, and be a mature role model. He wasn't. The teacher was being a psycho and the kid saw it as an opportunity to bust that insane bad person. Kudos to the kid for seizing the opportunity.

Don't really see how anyone could blame the 16 year old kids.

However, I'd love to see the teacher post here.

Make no mistake about it, I've been in that school as an adult and their are more and more worthless little pieces of crap running around, but agree with most of you that if your going to be a teacher and you can't keep it together it's time to look for another job. Teens have been pieces of crap for years and I think admin needs to take stronger action against them when they act out but you just can't flip out...

No way the teacher gets fired or suspended for that. Much more likely that the kid who filmed it will be expelled. I'm not familiar with the written policies, but I'll almost guarantee that kid gets the max. Wouldn't surprise me if it's the rest of the year.

Teachers' unions have power. Maybe you people haven't been following the current events in this country.

Just watched it again. Not only do I think this teacher won't be disciplined, I think he might become a cult hero among teachers for this. He's railing on a class for failing and for insubordination and in response, they're all laughing at him. He also complains about the class being overcrowded.

Politicians want to judge teachers on how well their students achieve. This video does a fantastic job of showing the challenges that teachers have in meeting that goal.

He spit on a 16 year old student, and when she complained, he kicked her out of the classroom.
