If there's one person I can rely on for talent evaluation it's Ryan Wallace.

Yeah, but in all seriousness, this class has some potential to be pretty good.

It's decent, but we're failing to close on some key JUCO targets that we need.  I still can't believe we have like four walk ons starting on our defense.

Those walkons include one of the best safeties in school history and the likely single season sack record holder.

I'd say the D-Line was quasi-decent last year.  But outside of the DOD, our best D-Lines are middling lines in the BigXII.  They were manhandled by Oregon in '12 and weren't in the same league as Arkansas in '11.  We make our bend-don't-break system work, but it's been quite a while since we've had any dominant player up front.

Since we have a DE coach...that leaves him responsible for somewhere between 0.0909091 and 0.181818 of the defense at any given point in a game.

I won't argue any of those points. Our D-lines as a whole have been a big weakness for us since DOD.

No,  but saying we were good regardless of our recruiting rankings is,  which was the point I was making.

D-line does seem like the weak link tho. Even D-Roberts shows up more often.
