Would Take

No ranking and zero offers? Seems like our kind of recruit.

Where do you get zero offers? I see about 15.

I see about 15 schools listed but none have checkmarks in the offer column.   Maybe I'm reading it wrong.   :dunno:

Foreman, whose twin brother -- 2014 running back D'Onta Foreman -- is also a Division I prospect, said he has narrowed down the list of schools he is considering.

"[Texas] A&M, Texas, Florida, USC, Oregon, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Baylor," Armanti Foreman said. "I think that's it right now. I think Miami and Texas Tech are going to offer, so I'll take a strong look at those schools too."

D'Onta, who has five offers, wasn't in attendance at the Texas Tech camp on Friday. The twins have maintained throughout the process that they would prefer to play together, but Armanti said Friday that he's looking at what's best for him.

"I've got to do what's best for me," Armanti said. "That's what I want to do for the most part. He wants what's best for me, too. That's what we're doing right now. If a school happens to offer both of us, and we both like that school, we'll take that.

"My brother just got offered by Kansas State. We're starting to look at them now a lot, too, because both of us got an offer from them. We're just taking it day-by-day."

“Tech is really close to home and Kansas State is 12 hours away,” Castaneda said. “That’s a killer. It’s too far. Kansas State really treated me nice and they have a great staff. It’s got nothing to do with their program. It’s just too far. My family can’t handle having to drive out there every Saturday for my games.”

I can't believe more schools haven't offered his brother a scholly

"Status: He is currently uncommitted, but Ford has a top five of Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Louisville and Kansas State. What's drawing Ford to the Buckeyes is their immediate chance to win a national championship. "

Wow.... Would not want to line up against this kid.

Valid reason to pick a school, but if that were a real concern, he would have never considered us.

So, I call bullshit.  Not that it matters, though.

I heard from a reliable source that his whole family is scared to fly.  Also, they all use Discover cards.

Mike (?) Boss redux.

I think the kid wanted to play in a major conference and in Texas.  Mainly in that order.

If he had a bunch of offers from UTSA, Rice, Houston, UTEP, etc. and Kansas State, he was going to Kansas State.  But if he got an offer from Tech, Baylor, Texas, TCU, or A&M, he was gone.

We were the first major program to offer, so he jumped on it so he'd have a safety pick.  Once he got a major offer from Texas, he was gone.

I don't blame him for that, and at least he made the move in June, so we can for sure move on and get a decent player.  I'm sure that we had him off of our board for months now, so it's not like we're really hindered by it at all.

I don't think we need to call him names, and I don't think the kid is a wuss or anything like that.  I just think he is like every other recruit nowadays that jumps on the first good offer and jumps at an offer that interests them more down the line.  It's kind of a lame thing to do, but that's kids nowadays.  A lot of kids getting internships and jobs out of college are the exact same way.
