With all the south florida kids we have here, we couldn't get a kid to come here instead of rough ridin' arctic wasteland minnesota? Are you shitting me?

This is depressing.

Just laugh at the absurdity of it.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

I haven't followed football recruiting or signing day for years. A lot of that probably because we aren't very good at it, but its also just not that interesting to me anymore.

True, but even while also mainly landing 3 star players, basketball recruiting >>>>>>>>>>>>> football recruiting.

Am I overthinking it or is Snyder even more of a genius than originally thought?  The grey shirt process of bringing players in really seems to be working Randall Evans, Marcus Watts (before Prince screwed him up), the list goes on and on of kids that have the mental part of the game but need help getting bigger, faster, stronger because of no money in the high school programs they are in.  I think it is one of the ultimate schemes he pulls off, why waste time on a 5 star kid that may be a bust when you can get a 2 or 3 star kid and mold him into what you want him to be before he see's the field.

Just a thought could be way off because on paper this class really blows!

I'm not really sure why y'all expected us to turn into Olahoma when it comes to recruiting...this seems like the exact same class we've signed for each of the last 15 years...the only confouding thing to me is the reported Grey Shirt on Ramirez, other than that, it is what it is...a very typical KSU class of DITR

flame away

Except it's even more lackluster when you consider that we had some huge holes to fill with all the graduations - QB, DL, LB and DB. The staff did a great job with QB, JUCO who can start right away and a freshman that can be groomed. I thought LB was filled nicely with two JUCO and 2 HS, but with Campbell flipping today I'm much more concerned about this position. I wonder if now the staff will bring Ramirez in right away. DT and DB are huge disappointments. Hartfield flipped and we could only get one JUCO DT. I like alot of our HS recruits (Ramirez, Wood, Willis, Ertz, Newlan, Williams and Moore) but in terms of instant impact players  to keep the ball rolling, there isn't much.

Defense is going to be an incredible crap storm next year and it's really sad because it had a chance to be decent until all of our rough ridin' recruits flipped.
