In a little more than 15 months, Bryce Fitzner (San Diego/Francis Parker) went from never having played football to an FBS recruit. Now, he'll need to use the rest of this year to prepare himself for big time college football, because he is headed to the Big 12.

Fitzner collected a scholarship offer from San Diego State, but this past weekend, the 6-foot-7, 250-pound tight end took an official visit to Kansas State. On Monday, he took the Wildcats up on their scholarship offer, contigent upon a grayshirt year.

I'm going to be a wreck come Wednesday. I don't know how I let myself become so optimistic in terms of our recruiting success. I must have just had my Dr. Pepper blinders on and overestimated WRSOAT. Shame on me. Let this be a lesson for all of us.

After reading the past few pages, there's something I don't get:

Do the people who only post in here to crap on the staff actually feel joy when the team wins?
