In the impact DT's department:

Oregon St. (Middling PAC-12 program) = 3
K-State (Big XII Champions) = 0

Holy crap. We lost Delva, too?  How in the hell can Big XII champs swing and miss so many times?

Folks, The Snyder way isn't for every kid.

Most of these JUCO's these days are the self absorbed, look at me types who would rather twitter all day than buy into the 16 values, and besides, I think we see our teams as basic, hard-working, no-nonsense workaday student-athletes that come out and take care of business.  JUCO's just seem somehow inappropriate, and out-of-place is Manhattan, KS.  To me, anyway.  But who am I?

I think it is pretty much cheating to have JuCo players and their 6 years of eligibility.  It was turning into a factory around here.  Once more coaches start doing it, the NCAA will close the loophole anyways

If the staff can still get Hardison and one more JUCO DB than this will be a phenomenal class

What leads you to believe either of those will happen?

Losing out to Oregon St is pretty bad.   Our D will revert back to the pre-Arthur era next year.  But hey, that's life.

Because they've already landed quite a few desired recruits. Also did they or did they not just beat out PSU for a very desired and much needed QB for the depth chart?

PSU was like the only other school that wanted that loser.  Also, PSU isn't eligible for the postseason for another 3 years.

The class is still pretty solid with a couple of really outstanding looking prospects.

Notable recruits pulled in January in the last couple of years:

Vai Lutui
Demonte Hood
Hakeem Akinola (who probably would have started had he gotten his grades together)
Chaquil Reed
Kent Gainous

There are quality players, especially across the DL, that we can get at this late stage in the game.  There are going to be a lot of good players who may look to qualify very late that other schools may have passed on because they've already filled up.

This is not new.  This is how we do things here.

Not a single one of our interior D-Linemen this year will get drafted or play in the NFL.

We did okay.  What we need are space eaters who let our pass rushers get to the QB.  We picked up some really nice DE's in this class.

We're looking for one JUCO DL in this class.  Maybe two.  My guess is that we'll find a decent one.
