On the IWCC offense...
I'd say it compares somewhat with Baylor, though it doesn't appear they play at that speed. And it looks like it is a "check with me" system.
1. From what I've seen its exclusively 1 back/shotgun with either 4 WR or 3 WR and 1 TE. Some empty formations as well. I haven't seen one snap under center.
2. Running game wise is zone read, inside zone, and a nice little off tackle trap/power play. I did see one stretch read as well.
3. Passing game wise some variety, but they were really good at exploiting bad match-ups, often in man to man. Lots of simple 4 vertical routes and let one of their studs beat a defender. Some vertical concepts with 1 underneath route. Some crossing routes from doubles. Some flood/multi level routes against zones. And some bubble/post concepts with twin WRs.
Overall philosophy is to spread out a defense and take advantage of one on one match-ups and numbers inside the box when defenses spread out to cover routes. They don't appear to run a lot of stuff, but what they run is really, good. Plus they were just much more talented than any other team they played.
