I recall seeing Gronk listed as a FB, TE, and DB at different times. Seems like a kid that is just going to get on the field wherever we need him. Find our weakest spot and put Gronk there. Presto.

You ignored the fact that I said "usually", unless you actually believe that every JUCO is like Cam Newton.

Sorry I should have stopped with Nigel. I just went with the first two jucos I could think of that were great right away. It's not an isolated, or even a rare phenomenon

it's the exception and not the rule. for every nigel, there are multiple chapmans, meshaks or boyds who didn't significantly contribute until the last half of their junior year or senior year.

I think OL should always be a priority because it is very difficult to find linemen who can really contribute as freshmen and it's pretty much impossible to have a good offense without a good OL.

I think DT is the hardest position to recruit because it's really hard to find a huge fat guy that works hard. inherently they are not hard workers because they are huge fat guys. offensive linemen can be kind of skinny but you will suck ass at DT unless you are enormously fat.

DT is a little bit easier if you run a 4 man front. It's almost impossible to find a DT who won't make your 3 man front get eaten alive. I like stocking up on OL because they are largely interchangeable and you need to have 5 good ones if you want your offense to move the ball. OL, DT, and QB are priorities every offseason, though we actually are in a position where it wouldn't be so dangerous to miss on a QB next offseason. This is pretty much the first time Bill has had us in that situation.

Also, I fist pump whenever we get a good RB because they generally make good linebackers or safeties if they can't get on the field at RB.
