Just got home from work and was shut out from the outside world so I went and watched the iHigh stream archive, saw Waters and Nash commit and Green be a stud on the podium while snacking on pizza, and then immediately after my stream finished Ramirez committed so I pretty much had a waterfall of excitement within 30 minutes.
That being said, I found a Penn State 247 Livestream thread and it's honestly too good to not do a special edition of Gems of the Game Thread...
I scanned 8 pages so you didn't have to.

"I'm a student first"
Jake explaining why he's late.
I love that quote from him.
KSU

son of a bitch
hahahaha, what a joke. have fun playing in the wrong system
- If you mean the system that produces incredibly good looking football players, decades of dominance, Bachelorette stars, NFL Pro Bowlers, and just good people in general then yes...that system.

Water picked Kansas State. His girlfriend going there probably had a lot to do with it.
- Del is such a schemer both on the field and in matchmaking. Probably walked right on the quad during Jake's visit and introduced the couple. :fiddlerontheroof:
Said he had leaned toward PSU, but God showed him a sign.
- It's pretty common knowledge that God is a big fan of the Cats. Apparently Happy (read: Sin) Valley doesn't get the internet or the Bible.
A few reasons given...
Standard stuff about following his gut, the Lord, talks with his parents. Bowls were a consideration. Location was not. Klein was not. The last visit by KSU was not. But playing for the NC, he wants a chance to do that again.
- The only thing that stands between the Cats and the 2013 MNC is #dreamteam2013
K State? Well, clearly he's NOT a "student first." LOL
- How many Rhodes, Marshall, Truman, Udall, and Goldwater scholars have you produced in the last 25 years? Suck it bitch.
To hear he was leaning PSU, then changed his mind at the last second makes me think someone talked him out of it. Just my opinion though.
- Holy Jehoshaphat! Somebody persuaded somebody in recruiting.
About the only "pros" of K-state over PSU are they started recruiting him first, and they can go to a crappy bowl.
- Catch us live on national television on Jan. 3 in the Doritos Fiesta Bowl!
Wonder if KSU still recruits that other JUCO QB?
- Wouldn't it suck for us to have a plethora of QBs (minus Sam Johnson) and you have none on your roster that should start at the DI level? Sometimes the rich just get richer.
I didn't want his stupid rose anyway. *bawls*
Guys - He's probably not going to even start at K-State next year. They already have a HUGE QB competition between the top 2 guys on their roster. K-State sold him a bill of goods but they reality is they already have two QBs who know the system and are already competing for the starting job.
- The legend of Sam Johnson is known far and wide.
From what others are saying about this Sams kid, he may have plenty of time to wave to [his parents] in the crowd from the sidelines.
I can't blame a kid that just dominated in a national championship game for wanting at least the possibility of doing on the big stage. KSU is a top program that he'll have a legit chance to win a championship at.
Willing to bet some hellish negative recruiting too..
- Please let this be true.

What in the hell is a reiver?
Good night everybody!
