However true that might be, there is a pretty high chance that Marshall = Sams and/or Waters > Sams. Waters is a much better version of Florence from Baylor.

So, in your expert opinion, you think Sams, despite this upcoming offseason being his 3rd in the system, is going to get beat out by a JUCO that has a couple of months to learn everything? And how in the hell did you equate Waters to Florence outside of both of them being white? Florence is a 5th year SR.

Um, how about because they are about the same height, weight, arm strength and pass accuracy? Have you even watched anything with Waters in it, or are you just trying to be a dumbass? So what you are saying is that because Florence is a 5th year senior he is just a system QB with no talent and isnt going in the upper part of the draft and didnt just kick one of our greatest teams we have ever had's ass on national television? Sounds about right

Florence had years in the system at Baylor and knew for a couple of years he was going to be the QB after RGIII. Your comparison doesn't work. It only works if Florence committed to Baylor during RGIII's final season at the school, and in 4 months beat out a RS soph or jr.

Also, Nick Florence is not going high in the draft. There are literally 7 QB's ranked higher than him for the pros.

Who has Insider?

Quote
Jeremy Crabtree ESPN @jeremycrabtree
Dodge City CC DL Marcus Hardison says coaching changes making decision tough. es.pn/XdcQGW (INSIDER)

All of the coaching changes going on across the country have made Marcus Hardison task of choosing a school increasingly difficult.

Hardison, a 6-foot-4, 275-pound defensive end from Dodge City Community College, is one of the nation’s most coveted junior college prospects.

Kansas State, Arizona State, Arkansas, Baylor, Indiana, Kansas, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, South Florida, TCU, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and West Virginia are just a few of the schools that have offered.

Ask him to name his favorites, though, and his mind wonders with confusion.

“I couldn’t do a top five since all these coaching changes,” Hardison said. “I wouldn’t know.”

Some of the schools jumbled at the top of his list are Kansas State, West Virginia, Arizona State, Washington, South Florida, Auburn and Indiana.

“I told Baylor no already,” Hardison said. “Texas Tech dropped out because coach [Tommy Tuberville] left. Florida State dropped out because Coach [Mark] Stoops left, West Virginia is in there. Who knows.”

Hardison has taken official visits to Texas Tech, Arizona State and West Virginia. He’ll visit Kansas State this weekend.

He already visited the Wildcats on an unofficial visit when they faced Texas in their regular season finale.

“I just want to see how I feel around there really,” he said. “I fit pretty good there. I have liked all the visits that I have been on. There weren’t too many negatives or anything like that.”

Hardison did say it was a plus that Kansas State’s roster is littered with other juco players.

“That’s a plus, most definitely.”

There are plenty of plusses to Hardison’s game.

A second-team all-conference player last year as a freshman, Hardison has a redshirt year available and two seasons of eligibility at the next level.

He’s coachable, humble and feels like he still has his best football in front of him.

“I’m just big and athletic,” he said. “I just play football. I just try to play. I am quick off the line. Coaches like to see that quick twitch. I can get off the line and use my hands well.”

Trying to figure out how to narrow his list of suitors down to a manageable number has been difficult. But he’s using a few criteria to help him out.

“I usually start out with my location and what is close to home,” said Hardison, who grew up in Florida but whose family largely resides in Texas and Louisiana. “That’s what I usually start off with. If you have something going for you and I have the opportunity I will definitely look into it.”

He also looks at what his chances for early playing time will be and also the coaching staff, and the likelihood of their sticking around while he is on campus.

“I know a lot of coaches these days like to go to another job,” he said. “When head coaches leave then most of the staff leaves. I’m trying to go in and have a relationship with the same coaches, and not have to start new ones.”

Hardison said he’ll take his last official visit to Washington at a date not yet determined and likely make his decision on signing day.
When one person, for whatever reason, has a chance to lead an exceptional life, he has no right to keep it to himself.

Remember when everyone wanted Sam Lamur to start over Klein because of his running abilities and his arm?

You mean the running and throwing that we never actually saw in a game?

How many TD's did Slamur end up with?

Sams has several already and has barely played.

Horrible comparo.

Oh I must have missed where Sams threw a single TD pass or ran for a meaningful TD that wasnt in garbage time?

Do you have any idea how quickly QB's go in the draft? There was what 6 in the first round last year? Good stat there chief. All im saying is that Waters talent level is higher than that of Florence's, who was the 3rd or 4th best QB in the conference last year, in his first year as a starter.

False. I want Sams to be the next (or better) Ell, but when he gets hurt I dont want Sam Johnson jogging on to the field

Sams only played garbage time with one exception when Bill when ultra conservative in play to waste all clock possible and get the game over with.

You can't tell me that SLamur and Sams both looked the same when on the field.  Also, SLamur was a sr and looked nothing like Sams does as a Frosh.

It wasn't his first as a starter.  He started as a RS freshman the year that Griffin was injured.

Who cares who's better? (b/w Sams and Waters or Marshall). We need a JUCO QB in this class. Get 'em in here and let Bill sort it out. Personally I want Waters because Marshall's INT numbers are a bit too Tuggle-esque IMO.

I know that, im not comparing the two players. But the perception was that Klein shouldnt be the starter. He started one game in place of Coffman (texas) and threw what one time?

Kind of surprised I haven't seen a "highstepper cat may actually have the playbook down the best," type of argument be made yet.

Did he play mostly DT at DCCC?  Just watched a few highlights and he was always on the interior of the dline.  You're right though, kids a raw freak.
