Glancing through the past few years, there have been 4-7 players that run a <4.4 time in the 40 yard dash at the combine each year.

Lowest receiver time was 4.36 last year.  Whomever BSAC's source was said Harper's was a low 4.3.  Just from watching college football, you can't seriously think that Chris Harper is one of the fastest 4-7 players this year.

I think it's possible that on a handheld timer he got a low 4.3. And I should also point out that doubting BSAC is a more serious offense than loving K-State Mask.

I've already stated in another thread that I will buy BSAC a case of beer when Harper proves his 4.3 at the combine.

Why does everyone think Harper can't run a 4.3?

Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2

Because no receivers at the combine ran a low 4.3 last year. None. Zero. Plus Chris Harper has done very little on the field to suggest he is an elite speed receiver.  A very good player, no doubt, but not an elite speed guy.
Does he do things that suggest he isn't?

Very rarely burn corners deep?  Not ever look like the fastest guy on the field?

I see him get behind the corners. Klein pick vs. Miami comes to mind.  I guess I trust a guy who has timed him more than I trust a guy who hasn't.

I'd be happy to put a case of beer on his combine time being greater than 4.40 seconds.

What's wrong with this beer and why are you trying to get rid of it so bad?

A couple items:

-Harper won't be invited to the combine.
-How come he never creates separation from defensive backs? 4.5 guys do this.

I love Harper to death and perhaps his biggest downfall is a qb that can't throw effectively, but TT, Lockett and even Miller get open more than Harper does.

If a scrub like Devon Wylie for the chiefs can get invited to the combine...Harper will be there

Back to the point, Willis obviously plays in a gap control front, and its just trying to hold up o-line for scraping linebackers. In that espn video on obvious pass rush techniques he looked quick.  There is a reason he's been getting looks from big time programs.  Also, I guess he did look like crap against Jeff City?

-Bishop Miege QB and current KU commitment Montell Cozart on whether or not he'd be attending Saturday's Sunflower Showdown. "I would but you know since I'm committed to KU, it wouldn't look good sitting on KSU side, you know?"...."Yes still committed there, Coach Del Miller still has contact with me though."

-Judson,TX safety Tre Flowers scheduled to make a K-State trip on December 1st KSU v. Texas Longhorns.

-Cre Moore will take an unofficial visit to Manhattan saturday.

it's almost unbelievable that he hasn't signed a bunch of 4 and 5 star studs

When undefeated KSU beats long time rivals, undefeated tu shorthorns, for a spot in the bcs title games, songs will be sung, drinks will be drank, sluts will be banged. It will be impossible for them to not commit on the spot.

Go back a hundred pages or so in this thread. We hated football recruiting so much back then.

Our slot receivers get better looks than Harper (always playing wide out) because Collin doesn't have that cannon arm to get it deep and wide safely.

I know, right?  Even more unbelievable is that there aren’t 3* studs lined up.  Mining for diamonds in the desert just gets tougher and tougher.

i think it's probably the same amount of tough as it has always been.
