K-State is my number one school. I really like the atmosphere, the city and community, the facilities and the coaching staff. Also, Coach Snyder is a big reason they are at the top of my list. It just felt like I was at home when I was there. And, there are two players already there from Skyline and that just makes it better.

I've only seen sophomore video, but his footwork was amazing.  Arm strength is alright.

He reminded me of a really polished looking Allen Webb.

Alabama's Nick Saban is considered by some to be the "hardest working man" in the recruiting biz. The postmaster of Tuscaloosa, Ala., might be next after Nick. Alabama made national headlines when it mailed 105 recruiting letters in a day to a running back from Atlanta this week, Norcross High School junior Alvin Kamara. Usually, Saban puts stamps on only about 4-6 letters per day to Kamara. "Yeah, I got home and they were failing out of my mailbox," Kamara said. "It was crazy but I liked it." It was yet another creative and innovative recruiting tactic by Saban, who finished with the nation's No. 1 recruiting class for 2012 earlier this month.

This is fantastic.  I don't expect Bill to do something like this, however, how hard is it to recognize that sometimes kids enjoy overwhelming attention.  Follow up Q: how hard is it to think of ways to provide that attention?  Saban's letter idea was original(to me at least) but still very simplistic.

And yet you'd think if there was one thing this staff could do well in recruiting it would be mailing letters

Our coaching staff doesn't produce enough saliva to lick that many envelopes.

That's why they hired the girls at the office.

2013 offers starting to fly out of Vanier.  I count five new ones today, alone.

Trent Hosick (STUD) QB KC Staley <--this dude won 285lb class wrestling title at 220lbs (beat Boehm too...check youtube, hilarious)
Ezekial Elliott RB St. Lous (6'0 200 with jets)
Zach Hannon OG Rockhurst
Jamone Boyd DL Lee's Summit West <---his profile pic screams playa
Josh Banderas LB Lincoln Southwest <---4 star LB teammae of Tay Bender (visiting for junior day)
Academics is a stupid word.

Academic schools are synonymous for being rich, powerful and exclusive, three things Kansas State is not.

So when people throw the word "academics" around, that's really what they are referencing.

The coaches are doing this intelligently.  With Mizzou fleeing, they're hitting KC hard.  Really hard.

I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with this...
"How will I recruit to Manhattan? Well, distance. And the proud state of basketball. It start there, and then daily flights to Dallas, because I'm really good at going out. Like top five good. Ask my wife. She wants me to be happy."

Enjoy the recruiting ride bro.  It's not like they are using helicopters/blimps (yet), it could still be a garbage class with several DITR

Maybe we should do an airplane banner for recruits instead of just when we want someone to get fired?  :dunno:

We could funnel the money through Clams, it's not like he gives a crap if they ban him from KSU properties/events.

I still think we should reserve stadium naming rights for recruits on an annual basis...maybe more frequent if they commit somewhere else.

Would it be against NCAA regulations to hire a banner plane to fly around a kids high school with a pro emaw message?

I would much rather have kids that can play regardless if they are a DITR or a 4-5 star.  The recruiting class rank isn't as important as the eval itself.  Boise state's 2007 class full of 2 stars had 8 kids in it that will be or are currently in the NFL.  THAT is the most important thing....not star ratings.
