Manhatter just made me a huge Skylar Thompson fan.

If it were up to me, Wintz would be on a fan scholarship, full ride.

I love Manhatter, but damn it, I said this ten days ago:

Quote
I liked his lengthy Hudl video.  He kind of shorts his throwing motion, which seems to limit some of the velocity, but he has really good escapability and feel in the pocket. Very nice touch and good vision to find the open receiver.

However, this isn't the kind of guy that will be a threat to start in his first couple of years.  He's going to need some mechanical work to increase his velocity to a Big 12 level.  But the stuff you can't coach, like pocket presence and feel, scrambling ability, escaping the pocket, finding the open guy under pressure, etc., he seems really pretty good at.

Thanks hatter, you're always the first to give detailed reports and not just stars or offer list.

my bad.  you pretty much oracle'd Sky on analysis and esp signals to commit on twitter.

best part about his vid, other than the beauty with which he evades defenders, is that his eyes are fixed down the field while evading.  He gives two fvcks for the torpedoes flying all around him.

Academics is a stupid word.

Academic schools are synonymous for being rich, powerful and exclusive, three things Kansas State is not.

So when people throw the word "academics" around, that's really what they are referencing.

I'm just messing.  Very happy to know that you agree.

I like him.  I'm glad you made the Manziel comparison as well.  I've used that elsewhere, and I was afraid that I was being a little hyperbolic.

he's '16 on rivals system but his Hudl highlight film says from his sophomore year so that would indicate '15

Sounds like class of 15, looks like a Nick Marshall clone. Fantastic pickup but he has no one to throw to, Snyder just going to out scheme big12 defenses to another winning season with this kid.

If Silmon turns into a complete stud at RB and we find a goto wr, pair that with our defense we could truly be a surprise big12 contender. Maybe pull a semi Auburn 2013, but I still don't think we have the firepower on offense.

wont need to with our defense, i foresee a lot of under 17 point games against us this year
