Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

Where's Manhatter?

Quote from: Manhatter on GPC
watched Sullivan's Hudl video...just like Dominique Alexander, who started at OU as a freshman two years ago.  I wanted Alexander bad in the '13 class as we got a late visit from him.  Sullivan is the type of player who can get on the field as a freshman.  He is an athletic kid, instinctive, and a thumper.

stanton weber. scholarship football player.
He walked on bro. Earned one through special teams. I'm not mad.

Stanton is on the field for like 30 plays a game and makes positive contributions on most of them.

Let me do some math for you, Shooter... Here are how many special teams plays K-State games had this year:
-Kickoffs: 146
-Punts: 108
-Field goals: 41
-PAT kicks: 87

That's 382 plays, or 29.4 per game. GTFOOMF.

Sullivan looks like a kid who can be a big time player.
Academics is a stupid word.

Academic schools are synonymous for being rich, powerful and exclusive, three things Kansas State is not.

So when people throw the word "academics" around, that's really what they are referencing.

It will be interesting to learn the full story.  Auburn basically got 6 commits from 4 and 5 star players between yesterday and today.  One is listed as an OLB like Sullivan and 2 are DE's.  There is at least one more athlete/DB out of those commits.  Basically, Auburn hit on every big commitment at the last minute and ran out of room for him, it appears.
Who cares. Stop trying to dissect this thing, because you don't want to believe that this coaching staff is capable of flipping someone. He's ours. That's all that matters.

maybe stanton weber walked on because he was the best player available, maybe for another reason. either way, hes played his butt off for the most part as a special teamer and hes getting a scholarship for his last year. who cares...
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

I think he's more deserving than Ian Patterson or Dalton Converse.

Anyone seen video of this Sullivan kid?  Does it support the high emotions we are feeling right now?

Where's Manhatter?

He hits hard and has a quick burst. Example: You know how when you use to be able to play NCAA 2000 and what ever year, and you would throw a pass to a wide open WR to only have a defender jump about 15 yards in a blink of an eye and intercept your pass (causing you to destroy your controller soon after), thats what sullivan looks like on film.
Oh and apparently he has only been playing defense exclusively for a year. Was a pretty good RB before. :Woot:

Amen.  He is short area power.  He doesn't need momentum.  As the play unfolds and suddenly he has someone in his presence, BOOM!  He strikes and there are repercussions for steppin to.  It is fun to watch.  In a year or two he will be 225 and make sudden stops on ball carriers just as Art Brown did.  He is that kind of hitter.  I'm tellin ya, this is a last minute flip that will pay off.

Yeah.  I do too.  History tells us that English and Sullivan will be terrible.
