KSU has a legit shot at Doherty. With Moore, I don't think K-State is very high on his list. Also, not sure if K-State is as high on him as other schools.

In researching some of the kids in this thread, I'm always surprised to hear, "If Nebraska offers, they're gone."

I guess I underestimate their continued relevance, regardless of the substance of their success.

I almost wonder if it's the people recruits are surrounded by that gives them the impression. For instance, if a recruit's grandpa or something asks about who has offered and the recruit says a bunch of historical average-ish schools and then says "Nebraska", I would think the old people would be like "OOOhh Nebraska offered?!". I can't really think of any other reason. No current recruits will remember NU being anything other than average.

They still put some defenders in the NFL, and they have the complete and undying support of an entire state, even if that state is Nebraska.
