Thank you Terence Newman and your very very generous 4 million dollar donation (Can't remember the amount, but 4 million sticks out in my head. If anyone knows the exact figures, please fix)

Justin Hughes ?@justin_2201 1m
The training table at K-State is what had me sold! Food delicious!

I think more people need to know the story behind Terance Newman's generous donation.  I'm not in the know on this subject, so if someone has a better story of what happened, please post.

What I've been told is that when Terance Newman was viewing the facility, he was told that the training center won't happen because we ran out of funding.  Newman said that can't happen, and that the student athletes should definitely have their training table, so he donated whatever the amount needed so that the training table can happen.

4 million is no chump change for Terance Newman.  He most likely didn't earn 4 million total after taxes the last two years.  So it's a BIG deal, and I think more people should know what Mr. Newman has done for KSU.  Imagine donating 3 years of your salary to KSU, just incredible.

Wasn't he a Top five pick? I'm sure that he is doin just fine

wow, really?!?  next time i see you, i'm going to kick you in the nuts, b/c since u don't use them anyway, you'll be doing "just fine"
I think I can safely say
wait do I know this guy ffy?
Sincerely doubt it bro
I would like to point out that with deductions on his top marginal tax rate, thats going to be more like 2-2.5 Mill donation.  Still, more money than i'll make before i'm 30 (eff 40?) and a very awesome thing to do.

Surprised I have not seen this name come up on this board.  James Newton from Coffeyville high school.  If this kid were to be on the KSt roster today he would be the fastest on the team.  Legit 4.3 and near 40" hops.  I will post a few links to some highlights. When you watch him you might think of a Yamon Figurs or Tevin Reese (slim burner).  Kid has a ton of highlights.  It is believes he won't be a qualifier which is why his name has not been heard much.  The kid throws down some impressive dunks on the basketball court for only being 5'10/11 and won state 100 as a soph and junior.

Academics is a stupid word.

Academic schools are synonymous for being rich, powerful and exclusive, three things Kansas State is not.

So when people throw the word "academics" around, that's really what they are referencing.
