No way Arthur was going to sign with KSU out of high school, no matter who the coach was. He has said in a couple of interviews that his priority was getting to somewhere warm with a beach.

Without Arthur/harper you could add two more losses to last year and this year. Especially last year.

So we had two highly rated guys out of 80 or so on ship. If all it takes is two that isn't exactly a high bar to clear. One way or another we've pretty much always had about that many on our roster at any given time. It's not like having those guys was some kind of an unsustainable anomaly.

I look at our defense this year and we had 4 guys seeing regular snaps who were zero star walk on types. We had another 4 or 5 that were two star after thought kind of guys. Yet we still had the probably the best defense in the big 12.
