Having multiple Polk (pronounced poke) County Cats in this class is a very impressive recruiting accomplishment

Not if you're referring to the president or the largest county in Iowa. Don't pay attention to Florida hicks.

remember when i said running backs don't matter that much? @mir

freshman 2 star running back with no offers has almost as many TD's as preseason possible #1 rb in the country, in 4x less carries. also he has a higher average ypc.

Giddens is good! I feel like Deuce has been trying to juke every carry into a 30 yarder lately instead of hitting the hole hard for a solid 4-5. Giddens ain't juking but he's going hard

yup, we'll be more than fine having giddens as the top back for the next 3 years as the worst case scenario if we don't pick up randle/edwards/portal stud. but we do need depth.

For sure, wasn't even able to watch the game but listening it sounded like he just never really was able to do anything he normally does, and it wasn't so much WVU's defense but him (at least the way Wyatt & Stanbot make it seem)

I do remember and it's just as dumb now as it was then.

How is it dumb when DJamer has looked great and had even better results since? I mean this is a junction city kid I’m standing behind.

This is just all an indirect way to say we don’t need Dylan Edwards, LFG MHS

DJamer is great. Having a good running back is important.

We’ll be fine regardless who is our rb. WH or AJ Are going to throw bombs all over the field for the next 4 years. If we have another year like this with a bunch of NFL talent on defense…we’re going to win it all. Big if though, this year is special

Yeah, I think most of our NFL talent will probably go to the NFL, so next year might be a step back.

I doubt Deuce is going to the NFL next year TBH, and I love the crap outta him.

Besides Felix who else is for sure going next year?

Yeah, people like scottwildcat keep saying he's definitely gone and I don't see it. Darren had better measurables and he was a mid to late 4th rounder, and that was when the NFL valued running backs much higher than they do now.  Couple that with the fact that he hasn't been exactly the picture of good health this season. I find it hard to believe he's going to declare early if he projects as a late draft pick

I meant another year. Who’s our NFL talent for next year though. Savage, Matlack? At least they’ll be well coached and won’t completely suck overall, and our secondary always has guys stepping up.

Depending who goes/stays of Beebe, Vaughn, Aduke and who chooses to have a Super Senior Season will significantly impact our 23 season.

Our OL could be 4 new starters or all 5 return.  This is a major concern for next year!  Same goes for DL, LB, WR  and CB (Boye Dow and Brentz may both go pro).  We are losing a ton of talent and experience!  Also losing our Punter and Kicker.

With a large group of Super Seniors taking advantage of Covid rule we can compete for the playoffs.  If everyone goes we may win 2 or 3 games next year...unless the depth is really good (unknown commodity)!

Bring home a Big 12 championship this year and sign a great class.  Will be an exciting December and January!

Yeah, I finally looked up where he's projecting and it's 5th round seems to be the consensus, that doesn't scream bolting to the draft to me.

How’s he going to go better than 5th round in the 2024 draft?  The things stopping him from being drafted higher he can’t improve on.

What round was Sproles drafted?  Since his record is close to or surpassing Sproles he should be drafted at the same or higher level.

Not necessarily.  RBs are valued differently in the draft than they were 15+ years ago.  Sproles went in 4th round.  If Duece can go in 5th I would consider that good.

I wonder if this logic applies to Bejan Robinson.  I had seen where he should be considered for the Heisman award.  I think it depends on whether he comes from a blue-blood school, which increases his value over a non-blue-blood.
