I bet old balls pulled the staff off the recruiting trail as soon as we had a glimpse of success this year

I don't think the staff ever does much recruiting in season.  I know several jucos don't even let players talk to coaches during the season and seems like Bill has bitched about recruiting HS kids during their/our seasons.  Kinda sucks but Bill usually gets some pretty nice last minute additions.  (Lutui ended up being a nice pickup and I'm thinking he was a real last minute commit.)

Man, remember last year when jtksu threw a fit because everyone was saying bill refuses to send the staff to recruit before the bowl game? Complete 180.

No, they recruit after the season but before the bowl and I don't recall ever saying anything different.  :ck:

They recruit all the time, just seems like recruiting isn't as much of a focus during the season.

good news.

Todd Graham to Arizona State.  That should more than likely mean Marquez Clark to KSU since he was down to Pitt and KSU.  Also, that would likely eliminate Pitt as one of the finalists for Tavon Rooks who appeared to be down to Pitt, WVa, and KSU.  He is also a Navarro teammate of Clark's and if Clark's headed this way that could be very positive.

Rooks is the #11 rated juco by rivals though I'm not sold on their juco rankings with the exception of the top guys.  Nevertheless Rooks has been a very highly coveted Juco OT on the market.
Academics is a stupid word.

Academic schools are synonymous for being rich, powerful and exclusive, three things Kansas State is not.

So when people throw the word "academics" around, that's really what they are referencing.

Does he play tackle in our system, or does he slide over to guard?

Also, you mentioned Hawkins earlier in this thread.  Which Hawkins are we talking about being in on?

Based on our recruiting, I just assume the city of Wichita is located in the state of Oklahoma.

Is this kid related to Brandon Clark?  If so I can confirm the Clark family being pains in the ass.

Yep, that's probably it.  Or we are just really terrible at recruiting.
