How many Kansas State fans does it take to make popcorn?

Over 100. One to hold the pan, three to shake the stove, one to hide the bong as the police arrive and the rest to complain that they missed the recruiting party.

welp

They chose to single Kyle out to talk of him with the commentators when they met the week leading up to the game.  the next question would be what caused this to happen and why would the word jordy nelson be brought up?  just sayin.

Well, first of all we don't know if the coaches chose to bring him up or the ISU commentators found his name on the roster and asked about him because they thought it would make a good story.  Secondly, we make a lot of jokes on here about comparing white players to other white players and how it's pretty racist.  The truth is...it is. They have completely different body types and play different positions.  :dubious:

very similar body types very similar positions   :dunno:

p.s. i always felt that Jordy game was very similar to that Amani Toomer the Wes Welker crap is very  :opcat:

The closest player we have to Wes Welker is Tramaine Thompson.

'Hatter, I really had no clue that Jordy was 220 while playing here. So I'll give you that argument and say you were closer than me in regard to weight. But saying he could be a Jordy type is really far off the mark. The only glimpse I've gotten at KKlein is standing on the sidelines and he looks like a rectangle. Jordy looked more like a slendor trapezoid. Hatter you should know better than anyone how slendor trapezoids translate to the NFL. The only rectangle we've had success with is Rock and KKlein may resemble more of Rock if we're crossing racial boundries.

eff It's been a long day at the office. Suffice it to say, I hope KKlein has huge success at the flex TE position. And we all know how well Snyder utilizes his TE's.

I love that we have a bevy of talented receivers that all have different strengths.

Assuming Klein improves at the level he did as this season progressed next year, we're going to have a very dangerous and diverse offense come the end of 2012.

Like, I'm sure we're on some awesome JUCO studs.

we're definitely in on some studs.  Hawkins visited, Rooks is visiting this weekend.  Marquez Clark is coming the weekend of the 16th.  Clark set national junior college single season records at Navarro this year.  He had nearly 100 catches for over 1,600 yards and 15 TDs.  Huge numbers!  He was a 3A state 100 meter finalist in Texas while in high school so he can scoot.  He's not big...5'11 ish and 180lbs but that doesn't matter.  Put this guy on the field with Lockett and Harper and we get a lot scarier.

good news is that during the Iowa State telecast the announcers were stating that our coaching staff says Kyle Klein compares very well to Jordy Nelson from what they've seen.  Now if you have a 6'4 230lb flex TE out there who can stretch the field vertically....that is pretty significant.

Which Hawkins?

This guy played at Butler CC for the past season or two, I'm curious to know whether we are looking at him at all. Seems like he could be the type of back that would make our offense click pretty well. Big, physical, work horse type of kid.

Didn't play for Butler this year, cut prior to the season, think he ended up at a MS juco

Looks like he was at Butler last year but didn't play.  Some issues with transferring credits from Eastern Michigan.  If he is a qualifying risk, that may really play in our favor.

A source of mine said that he, along with bender, epps, and two guys he didn't recognize have been hanging out around the facility the past two days. He said that bender was throwing on the recruiting pitch.  :ksu:

Travis Britz is repeat class 4 defensive player of the year in Missouri.  Also repeat all-state 1st team by the coaches association and association of sportswriters.

http://storage1.ihigh.com/upload/docupload/index.php?download=17036&filename=CLASS+4.pdf

won Bobby Bell award at Simone award ceremony for Lineman/Linebacker of the year in KC metro although the oddities of the trophy's appearance could come into question.

Academics is a stupid word.

Academic schools are synonymous for being rich, powerful and exclusive, three things Kansas State is not.

So when people throw the word "academics" around, that's really what they are referencing.
