At this point should we consider greyshirts as full scholarship commitments? I'm not sure how we fill this class otherwise...wow, effing terrible.

Unless there is some sort of last minute surge, this could end up being the worst class in Snyder 2.0.

I mean it's awful. But who is actually going to commit to a coach that openly discussed retirement plans at the end of every season?

Skylar and a young, solid o-line make it tolerable.

What solid o-line?

Frantz and Applegate. Shack  :crossfingers:

You know frantz and applegate are already red shirting right, dumbass?

I do know that, and it's irrelevant. My point is that those two, and hopefully Shack, are the core to a young offensive line that will, hopefully, support a solid offense under Delton/Skylar.

Classes this small create bubbles in the roster. It will come back to bite us in the ass in 2-3 years.

In my mind we either have a few silent commits or Snyder is going to grab more random Juco kids this summer to plug and play.

Those JUCO plug and play kids have really turned out well for us recently lol

True, but we shouldn't just stop recruiting juco kids. Hayes, McDaniel, and the thin recruiting classes support the case for recruiting juices.

Maybe on signing say we'll have a lot of surprise signings of Jim Leavitt recruits?

Not really.  He's always planned on being an early enrollee.  He decided he wanted to take an official to Texas and this was the first weekend since December 12-13 that he was allowed to take an official.

I get that, I'm guessing it's still highly unlikely for someone to make his college decision 48 hours before he needs to be enrolled. When he made the decision to be an early enrollee he knew where he was going to school.

I see what you're saying now.  I'm guessing in his mind he's been planning to go to Texas for awhile, but slow played to see if Charlie got fired and who his OC and line coach would be.  By then it was dead period, so might as well wait until the dead period was over and take an official and meet the OC and OL coach in person.

Zach Shackelford (Texas) joins Xavier Kelly (Clemson) and Tre Bryant (Nebraska) as prominent K-State de-commits.

Shackelford and Kelly are unsurprising. Bryant is the one who truly got away.

The fact that Shackelford agreed with this after being "committed" for 6 months is enough for me to say good riddance.
