He should have never committed to us in the first place.

Total boss.  What a massive stud.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

Cool that he lists Mizzou ahead of K-State without an offer.  Total stud move.

Where did you see that?

LOL at anyone who expected this staff to lock down a talent like Kelly at this stage of the game, or frankly, at any time.

It just doesn't happen.

It makes me sad Dax.  Very

Sad

Quote
Kelly stated that Michigan, TCU, and Oregon are his top three that have offered. That stipulation means that other schools could definitely get into the mix, but aren't yet since he doesn't actually have them as an option.

"I'm hoping to get an offer from Alabama, Florida State, and Missouri," he listed. "Those schools haven't offered yet but would be up there if they did."

Total boss and stud quote right there.

Bitching about a player making an early commitment and then de-committing is very sour grapes and losery. The dude is a stud and many others want to court him. Who cares?! :dunno:

it's not bitching (some do bitch, i feel you there), it's saying he shouldn't have committed if he wasn't ready. he committed halfway through his junior year and then all of a sudden realized he wanted to go through the recruiting process. and that's fine, i totally get it and understand. i'm not blaming the kid and i'm not hating on him. just simply stating he shouldn't have committed so early when he clearly wasn't ready to do so.

Missouri does have neat uniforms.  Everything else is pretty meh, though.

As much as I love Kansas State and Manhattan, when I was 17, I was pretty desperate to go out of state.  The honest truth is that the only reason I stayed was because it made financial sense.  Then the only reason I stayed in the general area after college was that I intended to marry a girl who didn't want to move out of state.

I mean, I get it.  Seiler could be doing a total stud boss job of recruiting the kid, but maybe he just wants to leave.  It's not like he's saying he wants an OU or NU offer.  Almost all of his destination points there are about 8+ hours from home with the exception of Missouri, and that's probably, what, a 5 hour drive from Wichita?

He strikes me as a kid that just wants to move away first and foremost, but that's baseless speculation on my part.

He is basically stating that every other school is ranked above Kstate, as I said before, he should have never committed in the first place.

Kansas, it's a problem.

We just can't compete with the tropical beachfront states like Missouri that can lock down their borders for their State's top talent on an annual basis.

He'll go somewhere else for two years, and transfer back. I'm okay with this plan as it has worked in our favor on multiple occasions.

Is that why we recruited those 3 Lee Summit guys last year?  I'm sorry, that probably sounded like I was defending WRSOAT... kneejerk reaction.

I agree, the fact he immediately drove to Dallas for that recruiting combine instead of celebrating a state championship says a lot.

Fwiw ABJr, Harper, Bryce all went out of state and came back. So we can expect kelly to be on the roster in like 2 years
