It only took LHC Bill Snyder twenty years of being a head coach before he realized he could finally recruit athletic QBs by finding ones that bigger programs would want to turn into DB/WRs and promising them that they'd be QBs in his system.

Maybe it was Allen Webb that finally sent him over the edge about ten years ago, but it's finally time he realized that if he went this route he might not whiff on 97% of the QBs he went after.

He’ll make the move to quarterback next fall and showed at both the Elite 11 regional camp and the NIKE Camp that he can definitely sling it. Bender has a live, athletic body and projects as a prototype spread quarterback. He looks very natural throwing on the run and has the arm strength to get the ball down the field as well. Nebraska, Texas Tech, Kentucky and Alabama are the early favorites.
