K-State has always been an interest of mine. LHC Bill Snyder has such history and to me, he's another Tom Osborne," Bender said. "I got there and had a feeling in my heart that this is for me. The tour was great, the facilities were great. And talking to LHC Bill Snyder was great. He felt like a father to me.

It only took LHC Bill Snyder twenty years of being a head coach before he realized he could finally recruit athletic QBs by finding ones that bigger programs would want to turn into DB/WRs and promising them that they'd be QBs in his system.

Maybe it was Allen Webb that finally sent him over the edge about ten years ago, but it's finally time he realized that if he went this route he might not whiff on 97% of the QBs he went after.

"And talking to LHC Bill Snyder was great. He felt like a father to me."  Guess that means Bill is going to be around through 2013 to coach his new 'son' since he will probably redshirt the first year especially if Sams is worth a crap.  :dunno:

Early offers to many highly touted recruits from talent hotbeds across the country?

Sounds very unWRSOATy too me?

some highlights.  very small sample size.  almost more kicking highlights than qb'ing highlights.

This kid just added a bunch of people from ksu on facebook, and his education on facebook says kansas state university '15 but it also says UC Berkley '15. Haven't heard anything about him but he looks like a decent athlete?

For resume building, I would go with Cal-Berkley.

Not sure you could find 2 U's that are as complete polar opposites as KSU and Berkley.

Quote
Tay Bender, 6-3, 198, Southwest (Lincoln, Neb.) QB (2012)
Bender is one of the more intriguing players to watch in the region and has freaky athletic ability. He played receiver and defensive back last season and ran a 10.86-second 100-meters as a freshman. He’ll make the move to quarterback next fall and showed at both the Elite 11 regional camp and the NIKE Camp that he can definitely sling it. Bender has a live, athletic body and projects as a prototype spread quarterback. He looks very natural throwing on the run and has the arm strength to get the ball down the field as well. Nebraska, Texas Tech, Kentucky and Alabama are the early favorites.
Academics is a stupid word.

Academic schools are synonymous for being rich, powerful and exclusive, three things Kansas State is not.

So when people throw the word "academics" around, that's really what they are referencing.

Kentucky?

Joker Phillips runs a sweet little offense out there.

That and he bathes in John Calipari's sweat at least once a week for the pheromones.

Other uses for John Calipari's body sweat:

-Protects silver from tarnishing.
-Cleans and lubricates guitar strings.
-Removes lipstick stains.
-Loosens stubborn zippers.
