Elijah Lee isn't a DE. He is a LB who only comes in on 3rd down passing situations.

Meh, I believe Laird can be an extremely poor mans Klein in our system and we could win 8-9 games with our defense returning. Delton is not going to play next year. Don't get Warmacked again fellas.

Next year is a ? mark and nobody knows what they're talking about when it comes to the qb posish. Snyder could throw out the neek and get this rough ridin' team to a 8-4 record.

Laird is a RS-Freshman from Sacramento City College.  Does this mean he took a redshirt year then transferred or is that referring to a medical redshirt?

I'm still not sure if we're recruiting him or not.

So, far, Hinds is 4-3 (from what I can see), and he was 77/150 (51.3%) for 934 yards passing (6.2 ypa) with 6 TD's and 2 INT's.  He rushed for 726 yards on 135 carries (5.4 yards per carry).  He had 10 TD's on the ground.

FWIW, it appears that he's the best running QB in the JUCO ranks based on stats.

Hays is 6-0, and they won their last game against Dodge 64-50.  Delton had 404 of Hays' 519 yards, and he had 5 TD's (3 passing, 2 rushing).  From what I see, he had three INT's.

Updated Season Stats:
Rushing: 83 att, 1024 yards (12.34 ypa), 12 rushing TD
Passing: 55/96, 826 yards (8.6 ypa), 7 TD, 4 INT.  Collegiate Passer Rating: 145.3

If he really comes for Spring Practice, attends summer conditioning, and competes in fall camp, I think there's a chance he plays.  Slim, but a chance.

Delton is raw talent.  He has the athletic ability to compete at this level and be every bit as good as Nick Marshall (who I think he most closely resembles).  He's everything you want in a mobile quarterback: strong runner, elusive, quick acceleration, good top end speed, and a strong arm.  But, like any raw QB prospect that isn't coming out of some Texas spread passing team, he's not a very polished thrower.  That can be taught, but when the windows start shrinking dramatically at this level, you can really impede his development by forcing him to be the full time guy.  He needs full speed reps against defenses at our level and extensive film study and mechanical work.

I love Delton and think he could be the best QB we've had since Ell, but he's probably going to sit out the first year.
