i am bringing two of my students/b-ball players with me to the game tonight, they are both of puerto rican heritage. i hope to see several puerto rican flags in the stands for denis and luis. i'm sure this would give my students a great sense of pride!

They are not from a foreign country the way ANY people would use the word.

I don't think you misrepresented Mitch's position.  I heard it and I think Zvosec called Denis and Lu "international players" and then Mitch tried to make a funny about passports implying that Zvosec didn't know it was part of the US. 

BTW, I didn't see it mentioned anywhere, but Clemente was the #1 pick in the Puerto Rican pro league rookie draft last week.  http://www.latinbasket.com/Puerto-Rico/basketball.asp?NewsID=183986

i mentioned it, goddamnit.


the whole unfunny mitch/"coach" passport thing goes back to a previous kstate game they called where "coach" made an offhand comment that holthus refuses to let go.  i can't recall for sure, but i think "coach" did actually say passport once upon a time.
