Gottlieb is immediately recognizable to almost every recruit in any city. He knows every program in every major conference. He is as well connected in the media as any coach in
the game. He is brash, articulate, savvy and entertaining. How would he stack up against Danny Manning in an interview? If I were Currie, I’d invite Gottlieb in for an interview.
