Okay, using your logic, a Bill Self former assistant with head coaching experience is worse than hiring a Frank Martin assistant with no head coaching experience (at the D-1 level).  Awesome.

It is when the head coaching experience has been decidedly mediocre, at best.

Seemed to work out pretty well for Mizzou and Frank Haith.

A conference tournament title would be nice, but losing in the first round is nothing to write home about. We will see if Haith can succeed with his own players.

Yeah, winning 30+ games, a Big 12 tournament, and earning a 2-seed would be pretty meh for K-State basketball.  Come on, man...

He has a 5-star transfer from Oregon and some solid players to work with.  Damned if you, damned if you don't, I guess.  At least his name is Frank, though, right?

Was very close this year and in '08-09.  K-State needed overtime to beat Illinois State at home a few years ago in the NIT.  Not saying Jank would be my first choice, but JFC, you guys act like he'd be worse than hiring Underwood.

Beems, just because all the crappy candidates are being called crappy around here (Jank, Underwood, etc.) doesn't mean "only Frank." It means, "Well, eff, we are in a really crappy situation. Look at all these crappy candidates we have to choose from. Thanks John."
