She also recruits better athletes than Frank.

Per Kellis on twitter, Upshaw isn't following Frank to SC.

Georgetown in play for Upshaw?

UPDATE: Yesterday we analyzed some of the potential landing spots for 2012 center Robert Upshaw (Fresno, Calif./San Joaquin Memorial), the top rated big man on the west coast this year. One school that suddenly could make a lot of sense is Georgetown.

On Tuesday, the Hoyas announced that junior forward Hollis Thompson would enter the 2012 NBA draft and planned on hiring an agent. Without Thompson and departing seniors Jason Clark and Henry Sims next season, the Hoyas have to replace their top three scorers and three of their top four rebounders. As we mentioned yesterday, the Hoyas were one of Upshaw's four finalists back in the winter.

---
Shortly after the Frank Martin-to-South Carolina news broke yesterday, the question turned to whether Kansas State would be able to retain its 2012 recruiting class.

It didn't take long to get an answer, as ESPNU 100 center Robert Upshaw (Fresno, Calif./San Joaquin Memorial) reportedly opened up his recruitment; Upshaw never signed a letter of intent after he committed back in November, and technically is free to choose any other school without penalty. That would have been the case even without the coaching change.

So where might Upshaw land now? The 6-foot-11 big man handled his recruitment very methodically back in the fall and narrowed his list to Louisville, Georgetown, Kansas State and the hometown school, Fresno State, before choosing the Wildcats. He could revisit that list, he could opt to follow Martin and play for the Gamecocks, or new schools could emerge.

Some possible options include a number of Pac-12 schools like Washington, Stanford, Cal, Oregon, UCLA or Stanford. All of them have scholarships available in 2012, and each could really use a big man. Two schools to watch out for here could be Stanford and Washington. The Cardinal have a lot of talent returning in 2012-13 and a stud big man is their one missing piece, a role Upshaw could potentially step right into. Stanford also landed the Lopez twins (Robin and Brook) a number of years back from the same high school, San Joaquin Memorial. Washington, meanwhile, recruited Quincy Pondexter out of the same high school, and covets a big man for their undersized frontcourt. It has yet to fill its one open scholarship for 2012, and Upshaw could be just what Lorenzo Romar's club needs.

Mind blowing analysis there. ya think??  anywho,They were pretty butthurt about losing him to us in the first place, so i'd love for Rob to deny them again.

I would guess we have 0% shot at Upshaw at this point so he shoulnd't be a factor at all.  I'd guess he ends up at Fresno State.

Does where Lamont ends up have any influence?

Jankovich and Fox are natural fits
"Jankovich has strong ties to the region and was once a junior college coach. He nearly upset Creighton in the Missouri Valley Conference tournament. Fox will have Georgia relevant again here soon if he were to stay in Athens. The Wildcats won't replace the persona of Martin so they better get someone who is natural to the region.

Jankovich makes me want to puke.  It is the exact same "right fit" talk that was around after huggs left.

It's going to come down to Henson or Underwood. Who would you rather have? What about Underwood HC and Henson AC... Still  :barf: but better than Yankovich

I'm sure Pearl would take the job if offered.  Does that count?  He is unemployed.

I'm going to put my name in the ring.  I can promise that I will pay players like gangbusters.  My plan is to funnel the money through a front of goEMAW charitable donations.
