Figures show exports from Mexico rising faster than imports, leaving a record trade gap in Mexico’s favor.

https://www.marketwatch.com/story/u-s-trade-deficit-in-goods-widened-sharply-in-july-as-firms-raced-to-avoid-tariffs-fe2898b6

The US trade deficit in goods widened to $103.6 billion in July 2025, a significant 22.1% increase from June.

Lick that doesn’t make any sense. Our incredibly good president has made it his mission to eliminate our trade deficit. So, if the opposite is happening then actually you’re dumb

It's a complete mystery as to why exports from Mexico into the US skyrocketed in July.

What happened with the goods trade deficit in June of 2025?

So much has changed so frequently when it comes to tariffs, I legitimately don't recall what happened in June and July specifically

They paused the tariffs until August so companies rush to import goods into the US from Mexico
