the funny thing is that gomaw did. the first three or four pages pretty clearly spelled out what was going on as far as i'm concerned and it did so hours before anyone else could write about it. not that they didn't have the same or even better info, but they just can't randomly throw up an emoticon in their newspaper or say "hey, we're pretty sure that......".

this place can because no one here is a journalist and no one pretends to be and there is no business being run. also, bsac's source was gold. also, no way anyone could've predicted that the appeal would've worked. all in all, pretty amazing considering. go cats.

rob/gopowercat basically had the same exact story that meek did with an acknowledgment that meek broke it. but, yeah. they reported it too. just with less info. and eight hours later.

with re. to pullen's section.  i wonder what would happen if a team played a four man zone with the fifth cherry picking?  it seems like your off eff would benefit more than your def eff would suffer if the other team played you more or less normally.  it'd be a fun thing for a team to experiment with.

Wait, did Currie not have jack crap to do with the appeal?

Quote
According to the handbook, the appeals process could include a ruling from the athletic director and/or a meeting with members of K-State's General Scholarship and Financial Aid Committee.

Kellis asserts Currie sat this one out:

Quote
The violation could have earned him a dismissal from the team, but a source told The Star that Kelly attended a hearing in the student union with members of the General Scholarship and Financial Aid Committee on Thursday afternoon on the matter and that the ruling of the hearing turned out in Kelly’s favor.

If this comes out how it should, I consider it a big step for our program.

I think you're an optimist.  I think there was enough outrage that Currie and crew aren't able to do what they wanted to do.

The fact that any of us know about it is a step backward, imo.
yeah, but how are we supposed to know how far along on our MCMW path we are if we don't know of / hear about the goings on?

rough ridin' Pat Bosco is the most EMAW person to ever EMAW.  If we had known from the outset who was chairing this son of a bitch we could have avoided a lot of nervousness.

:horrorsurprise:

who is Doug?

My work does not have the latest version of flash and I don't have the authority to download programs to my computer (much to my internet experience buzz kill) and anywho this is the message I see when I try to view the video:

Quote
A EVEBODY... HEY HEY EVERYBODY... KANSAS STATE HAS HAD A TUMUUOUS TIME WITH ITS BIG MEN THIS SEASON... IN THE LAST FEW WEEKS, BOTH WALLY JUDGE AND FREDDY ASPRILLA HAVE LEFT THE TEAM... And of course, theres the Curis Kelly saga... Kelly was benched by Frank Martin to start the season because of his lack of effort in practice... then came a 6 game suspension for improper benefits accepted in the form of clothing... THIS week, there were murmurings that Kelly was under investigation and could be dismissed from the team... there were, however, Never any official reports that Kelly was on the skids... and its all news to Frank... BILL SELF HAS HAD HIS SHARE OF ISSUES WITH PLAYERS OVER THE YEARS... Currently, however, his team is rolling right along with just one loss on the JJseason... He was asked toy, though, if he felt for Frank Martin in his current situation...

If you can read this message, you need to upgrade your Flash player in order to view this video. Click Here to download it for free.

Nice, it looks like you guys are getting better, a step at a time.  I think after the martin presser it is pretty obvious that it's your AD that doesn't seem to want to win.  I'm starting to think Martin leaked the story himself to the reporters, which makes him yelling "ask your source" even funnier.

well obviously it is a business if the definition of business you are using is "a usually commercial or mercantile activity engaged in as a means of livelihood : trade, line <in the restaurant business> ". i was obviously meaning that this place isn't a business as in, it's not "a bowel movement —used especially of pets".

i think most people reading what i wrote probably got that, but thanks for the clarification for people that might have assumed otherwise.
