« on: February 06, 2011, 02:47:16 PM »
Have you tried this stuff?

bought both at Whole Foods today.  how would you recomend I implement them on some chicken if I didn't want to go out in the frozen cold and fire up my grill?

Brown the outside in a pan (rotating to make sure you get it all) and finish the cooking in the oven.

Slow cook it. Bunch of chicken in the slow cooker with this sauce would be killer. It's how I make buffalo chicken. It ends up being a pulled pork texture, but incredible nonetheless.

Edit: Forgot the most important part - add chopped red onions.

have had the top one, not the bottom. it's pretty decent. my absolute favorite is walkerswood though. you can get it at world market. i don't know re: implementing it on the chicken without using a grill or smoker. you could maybe put chicken in a slow cooker (crock pot) and do that way? what kind of chicken parts/pieces do you have?

this is walkerwoods stuff that you can get at world market. you should go get some of it and then do like a side by side blind taste test trial or something and then declare a winner on here and then we can all party.

I am going to order some of this walkerwoods stuff.  The other stuff is on our chicken marinading as we speak.  I think I've decided to just brave the elements and grill it.

cire is right. thighs and pretty much all bone in chix are going to work  the best. i think if i did breasts, i would cut them into smaller pieces and skewer them. dunno.  i also think turkey would work just fine. i actually like jerk pork about the same chicken. there is a jamaican restaurant in junction now that is really good. they have ting and ginger beer and patties. but it's in junction.
