a&m.  this is back to traditional bubblemode.  always root for any team with no chance to make the tourney or no chance to miss.  in matchups between two bubbles, root for high probability bubbles, against low probability bubbles.

yeah.  just took a look at their schedule.  there isn't a real noticeable first half/second half split.  they had roads vs ut and a&m in the first, but both ku games in the second.  also still have roads vs kstate and nu plus bu at home.  kenpom's 9-7 predict looks fair.

9-7 is probably about right, and 8-8 is more likely than 10-6 looking at their schedule.

And 8-8 could likely be a Top 4 record looking at other schedules. The other thing of note from schedules is Baylor's weird game vs a D2 school (Wayland Baptist) coming up.

yes, absolutely.  based on their performance to date, 10-6 looks very improbable.

i think 9-7 will be good for third (or a tie for 3rd).  a&m looks to have by far the best chance of getting to 10-6, as they've already gotten their ut beatdowns out of the way, and play a lot of games against poor to mediocre teams from here out.  they just have to steal several road wins.

Really the only surprise has been winning at aTm, but that wasn't overly surprising. Every team in the middle of the pack is likely going to go on a little winning streak sometime, followed by a losing streak. They still play UT twice, @ MU, and @ OSU, so they likley have at least 3 more losses coming. But the win @ aTm is putting them in position to be 9-7 instead of 8-8.

We could pretty much put CU into the NIT with a win there Saturday and "make up" for our loss to them at home at the same time.
