we spent christmas eve at the anchor, first anchor experience and only stopped because I saw the sign and remembered jmart talking it up in vegas and I made everyone go there.  would love it to be in omaha.  prolly one of my top 5 bars ever.
Yes, it's very good. Love the brewski selection.

amazing beer selection. also good wine list for what it was.
lol at me ordering wine.  I try to act like I know what i'm talking about, and know what i'm doing when the waiter shows me the bottle, hands me the cork, etc.

oh yeah, me too.  I've been to napa and toured all the wineries and stuff.  is kind of elite going to napa actually as the first thing the winery people tell you is to tell wine people to STFU because whatever tastes good to you is what you want to drink.  they give you tips about how to drink the wine and what the grapes are and junk but, ultimately, my favorite bottle and what I drink pretty exclusively is a $10 bottle of Mondavi Cab.  the wife likes to stretch her legs a bit on the wine list though and I just let her go.

agreed, I pretty much only buy Mondavi chards.

they make really good stuff for the money.  I've had super expensive bottles and I'm not going to say you can't tell the difference because you can.  I mean, you take a drink of an awesome wine and you know it.  but, ultimately, you get a big jump from garbage wines to the base mondavis (not woodbrige by mondavi which even I think taste like balls and ballsacks and taints)

Good atmosphere.  Great townie bar that future shirt-tucks won't go near.
Where did you get that overnight bag?

Have you ever seen a Mac cord?  They are so sleek and sexy.  It's like aliens made them or something.

My roommate's Mac cord was very sexy, but too sleek. Cord got bent too many times, and now it doesn't make a good connection all the time. The pulling part was good i guess.

This thread about SD keeping his "cord" in the "hole" is kinda gross with the rest of you playing along.

Was a victim of this.  iirc its attached to the motherboard.  Depressing to see the battery go down after, since there's nothing you can do about it. :(

I KNOW YOUR POST IS ABOUT THE HOLE AND NOT THE CORD...

...but I also hate how the cords have a brick in the middle of them and that thing can get unplugged - F! I had a laptop that the brick thing would come unplugged w/ the slightest tug. Pissed me the F off all the time.

I think a move from soldering stuff to welding stuff may be in order here.

Did the cat receive the death penalty?

I had one of these: http://www.panasonic.com/business/toughbook/fully-rugged-laptop-toughbook-31.asp?tab=gallery&subtab=galleryVideos fly out of a truck at 15 mph last week and it still works.
