Make your work buy you a laptop

do not want
Why not?  Seems like the easiest (and only) way to get a new laptop every few years, and not have to worry about it breaking.

Saul, next time you're in Wichita you should stop by and make my router/PS3 all elite and oversee my windows 7 upgrade.  I'll have all-you-can-eat nuway waiting.
Will consult with wife to see when next Belle PlainePAK will be.  Might turn it in to a FixRouterandPS3HotelatOldTownAnchorMortsPAK one night.

I just got this option not a month ago.  I was all DESKTOP and they were all, HUH, EVERYONE ELSE GETS A LAPTOP and I was all DO NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH LUGGING IT AROUND.  We use citrix so I can login to work from home/hotel/wherever if I want and also don't have to worry about my canadian friend.
They make really small laptops now.  Light, thin, portable.

ok :dunno:

Have you ever seen a Mac cord?  They are so sleek and sexy.  It's like aliens made them or something.

Just wanted to rub it in.

Hey, looks like my laptop is completely charged now.  I'm going to go unplug it by yanking it really hard from the side and nothing will happen.

sniff the cork, they should pour you a sample to taste and then you give them the go ahead.  unless you drink a lot of it and a variety, 90 % of wine tastes the same IMO.

Yeah they are good about putting on the show.  What I hate is when the wife wants a bottle of wine, she drinks one glass, I drink the rest of the bottle and get PAK'd too early in the evening.

oh yeah, me too.  I've been to napa and toured all the wineries and stuff.  is kind of elite going to napa actually as the first thing the winery people tell you is to tell wine people to STFU because whatever tastes good to you is what you want to drink.  they give you tips about how to drink the wine and what the grapes are and junk but, ultimately, my favorite bottle and what I drink pretty exclusively is a $10 bottle of Mondavi Cab.  the wife likes to stretch her legs a bit on the wine list though and I just let her go.

What does a hard drive have to do with anything?

$150 seems about right. The part isn't much, but taking apart a laptop is a huge PITA and time consuming.

Oh man, I couldn't live with myself for a day after I found out I paid $25 for a bottle of wine in a restaurant that cost $7 at the liquor store.
