Lost my Optimus V. Made it well over two years.

Want an unlocked GSM phone to put on T. Mobile or Straight Talk or switch back and forth. Thinking Nexus 4. Thoughts? Alternatives?

If you want an unlocked phone, the Nexus 4 will get you the best bang for your buck. Both the HTC One and GS4 are better devices, but they aren't $350 better. Nexus 4 is a good choice.

cost is the huge android pro. they are also more customizeable. also you don't have to install iTunes. ios is probably going to be a better, more reliable device, though.

MIR/fellow EVO 4G LTE users, wtf has happened to my battery in the last week? 

Battery used to last well over 24 hours, now the thing drains in less than half a day, even if it is pretty much idle. I've tried a lot of things too, no explanation. I've seen people bitching about the jelly bean upgrade as the reason, but i don't understand. I downloaded jelly bean months ago with no problems. The last week or so has been hilarious in terms of battery life.

That's definitely not normal. Something I noticed that drains my battery is something gets stuck syncing. is the sync icon on your notification bar? Also, go into settings and you can see what is draining your battery.

I live in a place that struggles with reception so when I'm not moving my phone is constantly on the charger. Searching for signal is the ultimate battery drain.
