mrs. dave's EVO battery lasts about 2 minutes of talk time with a full charge.  I'm trying to make her hold out for the new iphone.  does anyone have a spare evo battery that they want to loan me for a few weeks? alternatively, would sprint give us one if we complained in their faces?

unless the phone is still within the original warranty period Sprint won't do anything.

You can buy a battery for like $5 off ebay though.

You guys, keep talking about SIII and the HTC and the iPhone5 and its release dates. I know we've already beaten these topics to death, but god help me I love reading about new phones and gadgets.

Just wait. The new iPhone is being announce mid September and will be on sale the days following. If you buy right now you will be buying hardware a generation old for the same price you can get the new hardware in 3 weeks.

Protip- it's not like you need to camp out for phones like those hipsters do. They aren't going to run out or anything. It won't take months.

My EVO LTE blows, may return it for the GSiii .  BTW SD, when I had my EVO 4G the artery blew and I took it to the Sprint Store here and they gave me a new one.  Also I have a spare battery I'll give you on Saturday.

That looks like an HTC phone to me.

There is nothing inherently wrong about that screen, but your phone shouldn't be booting into it randomly.

I have an S2, but I know a bunch of folks who have an S3.  Pretty slick phone.

It's hard to go to an iPhone when you've held something as light with screen as big as what's on an S2 or S3.
