is there still a pizza place by ku med center called "da bronx" or something like that?  ate there once, liked it.

if by pizza place you mean famous sub place then yeah, it's still there.

do they serve new york style pizza?  cause this place did.  had brick walls where people wrote on them and cac.

yeah. they serve pizza. so does coco bolos but i wouldn't call it a pizza place.

meh, this was like 15 years ago when ok_cat was a youngster.  i just remember pizza and a brick wall where i drew boobies and laughed my ass off

Had a conference at Bartel Hall a while ago. Wasn't catered. Walked all over downtown and all anyone could find was a stupid quiznos and the restaurant at a hotel.

Plenty of things downtown.  Most of them don't have annoying signs to reel in the n00bs, though.

Sounds like shitty business practice, considering "n00bs" have money.

We could make a shitload more money than we already make on this site if we tried to attract just anybody.  But there's some things more important than money (once you get to a certain level).

yep. that hip cool restaurant that ewx4 was only a block away from but didn't know about could've made five bucks selling him some food but they would've lost regulars and general public that would've been mad and grossed out that that the idiot loser religous nutso tourist from colorado springs was eating at the same place as them. sometimes no business is better than some business in the long run. more power to them i say.

I don't disagree.

That was just what the people at the conference I was at said, btw. I just said screw it and went to quiznos. No idea what the restaurant situation is like in downtown KC.

ew2x4 is reminding me of the 1%er Beaumont Cat thread.  He isn't coming off looking quite as bad as that guy, but he's not looking good.

Great thread.

Don't think I could ever be a suburban guy myself.  I find stuff outside urban cores breathtakingly boring.  The only part of KC I like is the area between downtown and the Plaza.  (Although I've never lived in KC.)

It's like we were standing around comparing our abs, and GOSP walked in and took off his shirt and smirked and walked away.

Have fun with your zubaz, lmao.

somewhere there's a guy from the 4th Infantry Division’s 4th Brigade Combat Team who looks at that and sees Afghanistan’s Korengal Valley.

why do the republitards always ruin good threads?  we get it, you think that kansas city is better than new york city.

you also think that dr. pepper is the best drink ever and that everything is better with ranch.
