Self said he's not sure if Robinson will return in time for the Jayhawks' game against Kansas State Saturday, but that his return could lift Robinson's spirits.

"Athletics can help in the healing process," Self said. "We had no gas in the tank against Saturday [after learning of Lisa Robinson's death]. We needed [Tuesday night]. ...

"We hope he comes back Friday but the one reason to stay is to be with his sister and that's an important reason," Self said. "They've got to figure it out and hopefully they can work out a split of time so that she feels comfortable."

I heard from a KU insider that Seff is going to try to relocate his sister to Lawrence to try to force him to stay all 4 seasons should he improves enough to enter the draft early or go pro somewhere else to try to support her.   :horrorsurprise:

LOL, as crooked as Self is, this won't happen.  NO WAY the NCAA would allow the half sister of an athlete to move to the college and be supported by the school and/or boosters.  It even looks ridiculous just reading it.  Won't happen.

This will be like Blindside 'cept the athlete is already in college.  Maybe TRob should move for her instead of her for him.  She has several years left in school and has friends there, why force her to uproot?

yeah, it really wouldn't be fair to the girl to move her away from friends, teachers, pastor that are supporting her right now.  If the ncaa wants to help maybe they could make an exception and allow trob to transfer to gtown and let him play right  away. :dunno:

BITB just said this girl has a dad, who is different than T-Rob's dad, but either she doesn't want anything to do with him or he doesn't want anything to do with her.

Who would uproot a 9 year old girl who just lost her mother and drag her half-way across the country to a flyover college town on the Kansas prairie where she knows no one?

Have you guys been hearing anything about KU bringing Jayla to the game on Saturday?
If they start parading her around at halftime like she is the new Baby Jay, I will be sick.

I also hear the mother of Tyshawn Taylor may become her legal gaurdian. Like she raised such a fine kid. Maybe goEMAW should adopt her. I mean who would be better than the people at goEMAW to raise this kid and provide such an ethical role models. It takes a village.
There is a good possibility Gary Patterson is my biological father.

This poor 9 year old girl has had KU cameras in her face since the second her poor mother died.  When Clent's mom died we gave him his space and let him stay away from the team with his relatives as long as he needed.   :horrorsurprise:

This is clearly a PR stunt to try to impress the country and make them forget about the numerous NCAA violations and out right law breaking from Little dating back to J.R. Giddens. 10 years from now this poor girl will be on an Inside Edition episode telling everyone how KU has now left her homeless and spent her "fund" on players, hookers and new toupee for Bill.

Has this been talked about?

Self confirmed the Jayhawks had also been struck with another tragedy. The godson of the mother of Kansas guard Josh Selby was killed Saturday in Baltimore. Selby had planned to stay on the East Coast and attend the service on Friday.

"He went back with full intention, and it was our full intention, that he was going to stay and go to the service tomorrow," Self said. "But with the weather situation and at the request of his family, they thought it was in his best interest not to go and come back with the team."

Why won't he let his players mourn?
