...also, I had no idea we had this many ku fans on board.  This is getting big time.  I may yet get that house in Bob Fescoe's neighborhood.  :dreams:

This board is absolute garbage. I am on a lot of message boards discussing basketball with fans from other teams, and I have never seen the hatred towards other teams players like there is on this site. I remember when Stewart lost his mother there was no trash talk from KU fans, but I guess I shouldn't expect the same from a bunch of goat rapers. Its really sad when you guys aren't even as classy as Missouri fans. Enjoy the bottom half of the big 12 and enjoy that preseason banner.

Nobody in this thread has said anything derogatory towards Robinson.  Hell, this thread is coming to his defense if anything.  We are the only people that have his best interests at heart really.

Yeah, who would even consider going and playing a basketball game when their mother just passed away?  Not me. I would be home with family who needs support.  Can he not cash his checks from boosters unless he plays? Seems strange that he would play, just strange.  But then again I'm sure all you KU fans would head straight to work the morning after a family member dies, sorry but I think most KSU fans would prefer to be with family and friends to share their pain and heal.

In the midst of tragedy there is always a silver lining.  It is a miracle how many KU fans have appeared on our board to help us morn this loss.  I never thought it would happen.  Very emotional.

Exactly.  How can these ku fans act so disrespectful towards Robinson's family?  I guess it shouldn't surprise me when several of us KSU fans were the only ones pointing out that Cole Aldrich needs to get the heck to the NBA to help his FAMILY, but Self and ku fans were ripping his game and basically forcing him to stay.

Gets lonely being the only folks who will stick up for the ku player.

Some of you guys are classless morons. Were talking about a 19 year old kid who has lost his grandmother, grandfather, and his mother in the past 3 weeks and to some it is a joking matter.

He was not forced to play by anybody. As rivals talking crap on each other comes as a nature and it is great but think about this kids life right now and what he is going through before you get on here and make asses of yourselves

Horse crap... Get off your pedestal, you wouldn't know or give two shits about this kid if he wasn't playing basketball for KU.

I really feel like Self could learn a pretty important lesson from how Frank treated Freddy when his family desparately needed him.

Hey Bill Self, there are somethings more important than a basketball game.  Like family maybe?

JFC

Where the eff are you assholes getting any of this crap that your typing about self making him play or that his mom died of cocaine.  He obviously just wanted to help his team out by playing the next day and I would bet that he was on his way right after the game to go be with the rest of his family.  You guys are like rough ridin' Fred Phelps, and just mocking people dying by making crap up. I always knew the KSU fan base were the biggest bullshitters ( Ex. The thread about KU being overrated), but you guys drop to a whole new level.  I mean I Googled this story to read about it and saw on a mizzou board there even offering there condolences, not LOLing about it.

Now I can't rough ridin' wait till we demolish you guys on Saturday even though it doesn't mean crap since your in the bottom 4 of the Big 12.  I'm with Oregonhawk, and I'm leaving this board.  Last time I listen to a KSU buddy about where to go to talk about some basketball on the internet since all this board does is whine about your rough ridin' team and make threads about KU whenever you can (And you say all we care about is beating you guys...).  Sucks cause I would of loved to see this board after Saturday so I could read about all the bitching about the refs and how all your bigs fouled out but ours didn't have to many fouls etc.  You know the normal stuff that comes up every year.

Now please try to have a reasonable reply besides using just emotes (which now you probably are going to), coming back with some smart ass remark about how we really don't care about him or his family just that he plays which is not correct know matter how many times you guys post this crap, or did not read wall of rant.

And yes I know I probably misspelled some words or messed up some grammar, but i'm just raging now since I can't believe people act like this.  So please don't go start a thread about how a KU fan spelled something wrong.

And one last thing, I know BMW can say some stupid crap and it use to be funny when you would say grats beems, but know all you dumb asses do is post grats beems cause you really have no other comeback.

:horrorsurprise: No one said anything about cocaine before you?!?! Insider info?!?!?

I think Coach Barnes was trying to politely make that known during his postgame comments fwiw.

Robinson has had to make some grown-up decisions, and he had another one facing him Saturday morning: Would he play against Texas? Self consulted some people who told him he should leave it up to Robinson to do what he wanted.

Robinson, Kansas’ most energetic player, wanted to play.

“By T-Rob playing, that shows how much he cares about us,” KU guard Tyrel Reed said. “We’re so proud of him.”

So, Self can't make his own decisions over personal matters and his teammates are proud they chose him over his sister?

I'll be sick if Zengz helped with the decision to put such an emotional decision in the hands of a young man who has gone through so many losses.

Who wants to bet that after seeing how hard it was on T-Rob Bill relents and lets him go home to be with his 9 year old orphan sister....because they are playing Colorado next and not No. 10 Texas?

Would be so slimy to pretend to care after the fact.

If that happens Seff probably says something like "Well, uh, he wanted to try and play despite what was, uh, going on. But, uh, its becoming obvious that he needs time off, so, uh, he's chosen to take some time off."

What kind of monster doesn't immediately assume that the newly orphaned 9 year old sister did need her older brother home with her?  Now that the UT game is over, Bill realizes that she now "needs" him.  Christ almighty...

It's truly a testament to T-Rob's character that he was able to get away from Seff's grip and get to his family.

I've got a source that heard that Bill told Thomas that the moment he put his mom into the ground, he had better be on the first flight back to Lawrence Kansas City. Sad.

Anyone else think that TRob is going to have a huge game against us?  Like double-double or triple double huge?  That is of course unless someone else in his family doesn't pass away this week and then Self eff's with him again.  Hope Self has some introspection going on right now.  Pig!!
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

I sincerely hope he doesn't see this thread...  Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE knows that college athletes, coaches and administrators read internet message boards.

I don't mind this at all.

I still hope we win.  I also hope Bill Self hasn't permanently stunted the growth and emotional development of the next Dwight Howard.  I really enjoy watching Howard play...
