We really only buy bulk items at Sam's like toilet paper and paper towels and sometimes razors because they have the kind Gooch likes. And sometimes they have lamb chops that are pretty tasty (that's because of Gooch's cooking though). Also, edamame!

So, yeah I can't really see going to Costco unless their prices were a lot lower or they had something else that I wanted to buy in bulk that Sam's doesn't have.

I live within a 3 wood of both a Costco and a Sam's.  I've never been to the Sam's, and I've only been to Costco a few times (I don't have bulk needs and I can get my toilet paper delivered to my door for free in 2 hours or less thanks to Prime Now).  The thing about Costco is that it is Wonka's Wonderful World of Consumerism.  You could knock out Christmas shopping for everyone on your list there if you so choose.  It is really a sight to behold.

If everyone on your list likes crap, that is

they have sweet deals on salumi and jamon.  i've not seen that at sam's.

sam's seems to do better on bulk name brand household items.  like costco only has shitty bulk diapers, not the primo pampers like sam's.  and they don't have those clorox disinfecting wipes.  those things are great.  and don't even get me started on light bulbs.  feit? wtf?  sounds like it's from communist russia.  give me ge because, duh, i'm a rough ridin' american.  stuff like that.

My grandfather was the biggest costco fanboy I've ever met. He was literally a walking advertisement for them.

"hey where do you get your car insurance from? I got mine from costco!"

"need your roof replaced? costco did mine!"

"need help from a travel agent? go to costco!"

I honestly don't think he went to another store the last ten years of his life.

Sam's Protip:  Locations that have Sam's Liquor Stores next door have great alcohol prices.  Typically 30-40% cheaper wine/liq/craft beers than local liq stores.  Don't need Sam's card.

clams for the last hour after finding about his wipes and getting decimated itt:

the inferior lysol wipes are in the trash can.  the shower is for how gross he is from using them so much.  also for how dirty (metaphor) he feels for being a costco fanboy.  #thatdon'twashoffson
