Dream Job
« on: January 18, 2011, 12:43:41 PM »
OK, since we now are officially out of sports to root for - I thought I would get something entirely different to talk about.

Mine: I am an artist, illustration and oil painting is what I do. I dabble in sculpture too, but if I could do it my way, I would move to Europe, drink wine and paint every day. Essentially, I work now so I can still get benefits and paint in my free time (whenever that is)

you all?

Critic of all things, where I can just say "awesome" or "sucks", and give specific reasons why said thing is awesome or sucks, but not have to write a bunch of nonsense and fluff.

This is pretty great gig. I was thinking like a lonely planet writer or something of the sort, but magazine is probably better.

Brewmaster for a major brewing company.  I would hold the secret yeast ingredients that even the CEO would not know or have access to, and I would get to sample beer every day as a job.

Wood work or Chef.

Love to make things out of lesser things.

Most important part would be that no one was in a big hurry to get what I was making.

No, I actually pick quality building/cooking material to start off.  I never grab a brown bunch of cilantro or a smelly pile of old shrimp and think to myself that they only need some TLC to make a high quality meal.

Probably own a restaurant, but have nothing to do with the day to day operations.
