I've been giving this a lot of thought lately as I'm just plain getting burnt out on IT/software/etc.

Had a call today that might lead to something pretty close to what I'd consider my "dream job".  Wish me luck motha-fuckaz.

Thanks brotha!!

Basically, just saw an opportunity where there really was none and went after it... You can easily do the same.  Passion and enthusiasm go a LONG way if you have logic to back it up.

So I'm pursuing a job, not necessarily a dream job but a good one. It is in a dream location tho, and would be a decent step up in the career dept. only problem is it's been 2 weeks and they haven't gotten through the 1st round of interviews! I initially followed up 4 days after I did a conference call interview. Then again today. They keep saying they have more initial candidates to talk to. Am I just being led on by a company too afraid to reject me? Definitely the longest I've ever had to wait for a 2nd interview/rejection.

I'd love to write and produce movies or limited series.

they are not afraid to reject you. They may be having trouble getting everyone scheduled for the first interview. Don't over pursue. Maybe wait until early next week and ask again. If they respond the same way, then immediately follow up with asking them when they are planning on making a decision on the second interviews (or what ever they said the next step is).

Gonna win 'em all!

Abe, just start trashing them on twitter an FB.  That will probably get them off their ass.

Give them until noon.  If no call, create a custom BID hashtag on twitter and go nuts.
