Foster is a Parade All-American. Tucks on other board eating it up as oscar affirmation. But WTF? Has he played enough quality AAU ball to rate that or is Parade just bathroom literature (Semi was their player of the year)?
I expect a good athlete and potentially good player but one who arrives with a lot of holes in his game.

Parade HS All-American has been around longer than most rating sites that are used now but they don't really look at AAU ball. They pretty much look at HS ball season performance only.

Pro Tip: Shane is not an NBA player.

Not even a pro tip, really.  Maybe should call it a Really rough ridin' Obvious Tip?  :dunno:

I could see Shane being one of those WTF 2nd round NBA drafts picks. He has the best combination of athleticism, length and skill since Beasley for KSU.

Just curious what holes in his game you see?

To my untrained eye he looks a lot like a Cartier Martin, and of all the guys we have coming in he has my hopes up that he'll make an impact from day one.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

Not like Cartier at all.
Biggest hole in his game is that he that he isn't in the greatest of shape. Parade isn't projecting performance is college it is more about what a player did in High school.

I put the 5% thing on there to indicate it is very unlikely that Shane is an NBA player.  That said, San Antonio rolls guys like Shane (Long, can make open 3s, can pass and play d within the system).  Shane prolly screwed that up with RC when he was mean to Kevin Young on twitter.

Shane's biggest weakness is he's slow, everything else could check out as a bench guy in the league, but he'll need to prove he can shoot like that constantly, not just one year.

I do imagine watching Shane guard anyone in the league would be like watching Will guard anyone in college

I hardly watch NBA.  Is there a part of the league that is like 10-20% as good as the teams that make tv in the kc market?  If so, shane may have an outside chance to make those teams practice squads, but only if there are like 50 such teams.

From the limited stuff I've seen, it sounds like it well be tough to beat Maryland.

you guys realize Cartier has been bouncing around the league as wing for years now, right?  IF Shane is really a 40% from 3 guy ( :crossfingers: ) he is much better handling the ball than Cartier and I don't think there is much diff athletically between the two and Shane maybe longer.

I'm sure they could do something with Omari.  He has graduated.  They can either oscar him or make him take the minimum hours and pay his own way (I'm guessing).

Just saying.
