they figured out he wasn't going to qualify with the extra semester of prep school and since they had an extra ship after franking the jet, they enrolled him now as a partial qualifier, starting his partial qualifier sitting out year a semester early.

you can infer that they either think he's better than anyone they think they'll get in '14, or that they think they absolutely have to have a(nother) backup pg for the 2nd semester of '13-14.

oscar should Frank Orris after the first semester next year to make room for another '14 guy...that would be classic.

It could be both. He seems like a guy you'd want on the roster, regardless of year.

What I infer is that it means if we landed either Nairn or Joseph, we'd probably stop recruiting the other one.

Foster's high school career ended last night one game short of the state tournament. His team lost on a last second shot. Foster had a game-high 26 points but only 1 for 7 from 3.

In the sense that he's a combo guard who plays like a power foward with handles, yes. But Smart is probably the best defender in the league, and I can't find many defensive clips of Foster so it's hard to make that comparison.

If by defender, you mean flopper then yes Smart is the best in the league.

Fosters best atribute is his body has quite a bit of room for improvement. He is kinda chubby should get faster, stronger and more bounce.

history would dictate that the reason the LOI is not signed is because oscar has instructed the player not to sign it. the hope being that this player will follow oscar to his next/destination job.

he committed after the fall signing period.

His only video is a selfie in his HS gym wearing slider sandals (i think). His stats are decent and he would probably be a softer but more polished version of Fincher from day 1. He shot around 30% for three this year, so a Shane-like improvement would make him all-league, probably.

yeah - because we have a ton of opportunity for the big boys in '13. look at our targets for '14 and '15 for that matter. We'll see which targets turn to commitments...but come on, man.
