Very encouraging to see goEMAW is discovering and challenging itself with original talking points each and every day.

Onward and upward.   :combofan:

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Kansas State is the latest program to show interest in the Rock School (FL) center Joel Embiid '13

Bossi and Telep were raving about this kid this past weekend at a camp in Florida last weekend. He'll be visiting Texas this upcoming weekend.

Doesn't sound like KSU is in the thick of things for him at this moment.

Not a whole lot here but from an LA Times blog, it sounds like KSU might be in decent shape with Bell at the moment.

Also, center Jordan Bell is trying to decide his college choice among Kansas State, Oregon and Memphis, among others.

Bell was also recently offered by Gonzaga and it sounds like UConn is going to head out there to scout him in a couple weeks. It will be interesting to see if KSU can/will bring him in for a visit before the fall signing period is over. Hopefully, the KSU staff's visit to LB went well yesterday.

congrats Frank! sorry if Luke'd!

Frank’s been there for a few years now so a top 40 recruit is expected.

Good job, Frank.  I can't wait until we get a top 40 recruit!
Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

Both Thornwell and USC's other 4* commit, Class of '14 PG Marcus Stroman, are SC natives.

In no way am I trying to diminish Martin and his staff's accomplishment here, because it is impressive but initially, Martin is faring better at landing the top local talent at USC than he did at KSU.

There's no KU in SC which helps. Anyone would struggle to recruit against the Hawks here.

yeah, but SC still has Duke and NC just up the road (about 4 hours).   SC's just been waiting in the grass for the past, like, 50 or 80 years.

Neither Duke nor UNC offered Thornwell or Stroman. Both grew up within an hour of Columbia. USC held off NC St. for Thornwell. Considering what NC St. has been able to do on the recruiting trail recently, that's pretty solid.

I was speaking more to their proximity to a power program.  Wouldn't NC State be like KSU getting Cauley from OSU?

I'm just as pissed at Frank's recruiting while at KSU, post McGruds/Wally.  And for him to land a top 40 player, regardless of the state or whatever factors, considering we had a goddamn flood (relatively speaking) of elite talent in KS that Frank just wiped his ass with. Although '14, Webs better f'ing land Custer or I'm going to doubly hate him.
