According to the update linked below, Carroll has a visit set up to TCU on 9/21. Westicles will be visiting Drake on 9/14 and then SMU on 9/28.

Of the three schools he was still considering, Foster dropped Marquette? This kid is such a wildcard.

Trent Johnson had a pretty solid track record at Nevada and Stanford, didn't get it done at LSU, we'll see what happens with his re-birth at TCU.

Carroll also has offers from Oklahoma, Nebraska, San Diego St., and several others. Haven't seen a definite timeline for a decision from him. Wouldn't really say it's down to "KSU-TCU" right now, that's just where his 1st 2 officials are lined up at.

AB3 seems to be getting us a lot of mentions/visits.  Good vibes so far anyway.

From the Cal rivals mod/reporter guy, Mathews officially visiting there this weekend(he visited there a couple times unofficially), seems to think chances are good Mathews will be committing to Cal shortly after that visit. Mathews does have trips set up to Wake Forest on 9/14 and Marquette on 10/12. We'll see what happens.

They've already got Bird and if they land Gordon and Mathews, then, yeah, it's looking that way for '13.

Brandon Parrish(6'5" wing - Arlington, TX) was reporting a KSU offer and potential visit here throughout the spring and summer but now he's reporting a Top 4 of Rice, TCU, Iowa, and Marquette, with planned visits to all 4 schools. TX Tech was in the picture but it sounds like the latest BCG allegations has really hindered that possibility for Parrish. Sounds like he wants to make his decision within the next month.

Parrish was reporting some nice offers but I'm not certain KSU was 1 of them. As I said above, he had been mentioning the KSU offer for several months but then in his latest update prior to the 1 posted above, it was reported he had offers from TCU, Iowa, Colorado State, Richmond, Colorado, Vanderbilt, Marquette and Santa Clara but no KSU.

http://basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1399489

A possible theory is that Parrish played AAU ball with 4* Kendal Harris, who had a verified KSU offer. The KSU offer to Parrish was only mentioned prior to Harris cutting KSU from his list and eventually committing to USC. Maybe the Parrish offer was an attempt at a package deal for Harris and once it fell through with Harris, the Parrish offer was rescinded. Maybe it was BS all along, tough to say, but the bottom line is that there does not appear to be mutual interest between KSU and Parrish at this time.

FWIW, that same update I posted above giving Parrish's offer list also stated Greg Wesley(6'7" PF from Arlington - NOT the ex-Chiefs safety) has a KSU offer.

I'm pretty skeptical of that 1 because I can't find any other mentions connecting Wesley and KSU and the update also says Wesley has offers from Texas, Texas A&M, and OK St. I imagine interest has been shown to Wesley from those schools but that's a fairly salty offer list for a kid that hasn't created huge buzz on the circuit.

Five whose stocks are going to rise soon
By Dave Telep
Quote
Westicles, SG (Houston/Westfield)
There are more players coming out of Texas than ever before. The sheer volume of the crop from the state rivals just about any other talent-rich area and I’m not talking football. Westicles ran with the Harrison twins on the circuit, thus the reason for his slow play nationally.

Westicles is a major student-athlete (yes, in the real sense of the word). He can score off the bounce and he’s got mid- to high-major game. In the last two weeks he’s visited Kansas State and SMU. Drake, Colorado and Lehigh also like him.

That'll work

ESPN(Telep) currently has Westicles ranked as a mid 3*, 75.

Not so good news from Jordan Matthews visit to Cal....
"I have a much better feel, a much better feel for the program," said Mathews. "I really like Cal. They're my leader. I have a much better feel for them than I did when I came up on the unofficial."

Hope this weekend went well for Carroll and Foster....

Marcus Foster also enjoyed his visit. "It's a great place," he said. He visits Creighton next. No change on his commitment time table.

Can someone remind me what Foster's timetable is again? Is he the one who was adamant about signing in the fall?

Per Regan, Foster said in his latest update that he wants to make his decision before the end of this month.

I think Foster and Carroll both want to sign early but Foster has it narrowed down further(KSU and Creighton) and is closer to making the call.

From Kline, Mathews just committed to Cal. Cal rivals mod/reporter guy was not full of crap.
