I thought this already went down, but I guess things had to be made "official", Ojeleye offered by Indiana yesterday. He's maintaining that Duke, Indiana, UCLA, and Arizona are the 4 recruiting him the hardest right now.

http://www.insidethehall.com/2012/06/28/elite-2013-forward-semi-ojeleye-confirms-offer-from-iu/

As was posted above, Ojeleye will be at Illinois today. 6'5" JC wing Karrington Ward will also reportedly be in Champaign today.

KSU team camp or "shootout", this weekend. I really couldn't say what HS teams will be there but would be a good chance to get some prospects on campus for unofficial visits.

Sounds like KSU is still heavily recruiting Alvin Ellis, update after his recent visit to Northwestern.

"According to Ellis, Northwestern, Kansas State, Minnesota and Tennessee stand out as the four schools recruiting him the hardest. With other high-major programs still trying to enter that mix, Ellis is content to wait on his commitment while his recruitment process evolves."

Singer update, he recently visited Stanford and Cal as his HS team played in Cal's team camp.

"SAM SINGER SEEING LIST EXPAND

Sam Singer, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound guard from Ransom Everglades High School near Miami (FL), turned heads on the AAU circuit all spring with Gold Coast AAU. His recruiting list seemed to get longer and longer after each event, especially diring the two live April evaluation weekends. Now he feels his recruitment might be coming into a little better focus with the introduction of the unlimited contact period earlier this month.

“I’ve been hearing the most from them Stanford, Virginia Tech, Penn State, Tennessee, Kansas State, Davidson, Pittsburgh, Wake Forest and Richmond,” he said. “I’ve been getting heavy interest from NC State who is a new school to contact me.”

Singer also mentioned he had received a recent offer from UAB as well.

NBE looks forward to seeing Singer on the AAU circuit in July and seeing how his recruitment unfolds as he heads toward a commitment in the coming months."

If this is a real pain in the butt to read, you can just DNR it.

The Nike sponsored Elite Youth Basketball League(EYBL) is a series of pool play spread throughout the spring(4 weekends, 4 different sites) featuring 40 U-17

grassroots/AAU teams from across North America. The objective of the pool play is to determine the top 24 teams in the league who then advance to play in the Peach Jam, held in Augusta, South Carolina July 18-22, which is during 1 of the July "live" recruiting periods where coaches can watch prospects play in person. Basically, the Peach Jam is a de facto national championship tournament for Nike sponsored grassroots teams. Link below hopefully will provide further explanation.

http://www.nikeeyb.com/Events/eybl-finals-at-the-nike-peach-jam

Several teams featuring prospects that KSU is currently recruiting played in the EYBL. In an effort to make every game count, the EYBL's kept stats for every team and player participating in the event. Pasted below are the numbers put up by the KSU recruits throughout the 4 rounds of pool play. Each team played 20 total games in pool play. An "*" next to a team's record indicates the team has advanced to the Peach Jam. An "x" next to a player's name indicates a KSU offer. This is NOT an exhaustive list of current KSU targets, it is just a list of targets who played in the EYBL that I am aware of being recruited by KSU. As I stated above, the EYBL is a U-17 league, meaning that the majority of the players are class of '13(entering their SR year of HS). However, prospects such as Clayton Custer, Jaquan Lyle, and Trevon Blueitt are Class of '14 and are actually "playing up" a year in competition.

Event leaders can be found in the link below. As far as I could tell, Trevon Blueitt(6th in total points) and Alvin Ellis(9th in 3FG%) are the only KSU targets included in these categories.

This may or may not effect Ojeleye's decision, but Rodney Hood transferring to Duke.

I just figured after Duke offered, Ojeleye had already made his decision. He just hadn't made it publicly yet.

Could be.

Duke does sort of has a logjam on the wing now in their younger classes, especially when 13-14 rolls around, they've got Hood, current RS FR Alex Murphy, Sulamon, Matt Jones('13 commit), and are still in the running for Parker and Randle.

But hell, riding the bench at Duke might just be a lot more attractive to Ojeleye than potentially having an EARLY big impact at KSU.

Then, you have Indiana, UCLA, and Arizona who are reportedly recruiting him very hard right now, and Wisconsin who was the 1st school to offer.

Sort through all that and KSU might have a shot of making his final list, anything can happen from there, but it's not something I'm absolutely, positively counting on.

As far as I know, he has no "official" final list yet and he has not "officially" cut anybody from it yet. All that he has said recently is that the 4 schools recruiting him the hardest are Duke, Indiana, UCLA, and Arizona. He is also still mentioning Wisconsin in his updates.

He recently took unofficial visits to Indiana and Illinois. He has said he wants to cut his list down at the end of the summer(probably for official visit purposes) and then make his final decision before his HS season starts.

At least, that's the info that's available to the public at this time.

From this past weekend at the Dallas Showtyme Classic:

Alan Branch?@TXboysbasketbal

"Brandon Parrish maybe the TBB stock booster of the weekend he doesn't mind getting his hands dirty now not just jump shooter"

"Day 1 Recap: The Friday evening pool play featured two pool games on court one: Dallas Trojans vs. Team Icon and Dallas Mustangs (Booker) vs Texas Rise

Game one was a opportunity to see Dustin Thomas 6'7" 2013 PF (Dallas Trojans). Dustin is a joy to watch high level of court awareness, one of the best post passers I've seen this calender year.

Dustin had a solid double-double performance in a lopsided victory for the Trojans. He played roughly 18 minutes in 32 minute contest where he was engaged 14 minutes in the post, on the glass and ran well in transition. Tended to drift a possession here and there, mainly because of the nature the game late.

Dallas Mustangs got off to a slow start, but Coach Booker was able to get into them about the 10 minute mark. This game was a good look at six D1 players but especially guard Nathan Hawkins returning from a suspect stress fracture. Hawkins is big talented guard who passes the eye test, his timing and explosion were a little off but showed good feel and a nice stroke. "

Kline:

"2013 Curtis/New Heights (NY) small forward Hassan Martin is one of the hottest up and coming prospects on the market right now. Rhode Island, Creighton, Iowa State, Providence, UMass, George Washington, St. Joseph's, Duquesne, Kansas State and Indiana are making a strong push and constantly keeping tabs on him, according to his AAU coach Chris Alesi."

He caught that 2 feet above the rim and took it home.   Not bad.

I think not at all.  About half the names we will show up with are just past offers/interest.  iirc he had a Pastrana connection.

Welp.

Would love to see us go hard after Kyle Davis.  Hope we are.
